When all the odds are against something you believe in, do you quit because you have no chance, or do you continue to attempt to make a difference? This isn't limited to personal situations. Examples:
Running for a political race when you know your party would never make it. Voting in an election when you know your one vote won't change things. Standing against a group of people who violently disagree with your opinions. Going to a school board and complaining about an issue when you know as a young kid yourself, it won't make a difference. Things like that. Where should you draw the line and give up, or do you always stand up for what you believe in, even if you know it's pointless? |
