If you've been with someone for a few years and still love each other a lot but something has come up like school so one feels that it must leave the relationship behind so the person can focus better more on school. so now we have no choice but to just try to leave this behind us. its like you still feel the same but you have to give it up because you have no choice? i mean its like we've been through so much already why give up on "us" now ya know? cant think ah...what do you guys say?

this has happened to me a couple of times. school was just too overwhelming for the both of us at times. but neither of us wanted to break up so we didn't let that become an option no matter had busy and stressed we were.

what we did was just talk on the phone after school/after homework. we helped each other with our homework, and saw each other on weekends, or some days after school if lucky.

we were able to focus still, but maybe it's different for other people?

try mentioning that. if that doesn't work, just know that the end of the relationship isn't because she doesn't like you anymore, it's because of other things have came up. meaning, it doesn't mean you can't get back together when times are appropriate _smile.gif

I'm in this situation right now. And all I can say is that if you two are really for each other, then your love can survive anything. Give it time.

Wow.. ateast tell us that school is out of state or just very far in general. If you still live at home what's the problem? My lady right now is a full time student and she works part time. I see her atleast once a week and I'm not arguing... there's nothin I can do but accept the fact that her education at this moment is more important than I am, that is her priority and I'm happy with that.

Please tell me you guys are in college status too... don't tell me this is a highschool thing or I'll laugh :)

i agree with everyone. if your guys love is so strong as you say it is then its just a way to figure out if your love will be stronger throughout the skool process. what is really important is your skool work because you guys will always have a chance for each other after high skool but you wont get a 2nd chance in skool. by the way do you guys go to the same skool? or live like far apart?

GOOD LUCK!

i think its stupid.. to make your 'significant' other the excuse of you getting low grades and what not... the only way me and my bf would break up is if he looses interest in me or cheats on me... nothing else.

he didn't give up on you. he probably knows that he's going to college so there's going to be more temptation you know? he probably doesn't want you to get hurt and he wants to experience new things.
