tonight is one of many
when i wish you'd come again.
when i wish you were here
when i wish to see you smile and
hear you laughingly say my name
wanting me to speak my mind
annoyed with me saying 'nothing' all the time

eventually i give in but we both know
and i can't pretend i don't like being difficult
you're my angel with black wings
you mock and walk and weaken my knees
it'd be crazy of me to think we could ever escape this
you were given to me and our love is precious.
