But he came up to me in the library and caught me off gaurd and was all "so r u going to winterball" hahaha and stupid me "umm i dunno i may be in belgium visiting my family" i do have family there but i wasn't gonna visit them

Those are pretty amusing, I have to say. I'd probably use the guests excuse, now that I think about it. Haha.

I've never given any kind of dumb excuse.. blink.gif
Usually if I don't want to go out with a guy, I just tell him that I'd rather be friends and I'm not into him like that.

Honestly, telling a guy you don't like him is a lot less harsh than making up an excuse.

Well the objective of my telling a guy that I'd rather be friends is to be truthful. It hurts, sure, but it's better than lying about not wanting to go out with a guy and possibly having him find out about it, don't you think?

Wouldn't you want a girl to be honest? ermm.gif

Plus, if you just give a guy an excuse, he could just keep on trying to ask you out and eventually you'll run out of chances. At least with telling him that you'd rather just be friends, will put a stop to that.

Umm, I heard this from a friend of mine.

"I think we should be friends". - More like a breakup line.

"I'm busy cleaning".
"I'm grounded". (When there not?)

Excuses ruin relationsihips...

I would rather hear... "I'm sorry, I really pissed off at you right now, and rather thatn screaming in your face... I would like to call you back."

Yes they do. Friendships and other relationships both.
