Hmm. It would really help if you had pictures. I wouldn't wear any type of blue with black unless it's a light shade of blue.. shrug.gif

What type of shirts are there? Usually navy blue & black are too dark with each other. But if it was a blazer or jacket like this pair over a navy blue wifebeater or tank it could work out. I guess it depends what style your shirts are.

Guess what girl? When you layer it doesn't matter, just make sure your shoes and belt match with a color on there.

You have pictures or something of these skirts layered together?
It really depends on the lengths on both of these skirts and of course the different colors. I mean you said black and dark blue...but it's one of those things where you just have to LOOK at it lol.
Um, you know people are mixing colors really weirdly nowadays, i'm sure you could pull it off if you have a really light colored top and added a belt and some nice shoes. Play up the accessories as well.

I'm pretty sure they go together. Wear bright shoes! =D Or throw on a long strand of pearls to add color/light, or wear faded jeans.

I thought black goes with everything, right? I think it would work.

Yeah she's just worried about them looking too dark together.

everyone's pretty much covered it.

personally when it comes to layers, there are no two colors that don't go together (granted the colors aren't ugly to begin with). as long as you have the right accessories to offset the darkness, then go for it.

Hmm actually a light/soft pink goes really well with dark blue, and maybe a teal. Black will go along with it as well, its just going to look really dark.
