Anyways, I've been noticing lately that gangs are becoming a big part of my community. Everywhere you go, there's territory claimed by gangs. I myself dont really think its a problem since the majority of my friends belong or ride with gangs, but if it gets outta control, its gonna be a great danger to the city. Are gangs a problem in your "hood" or city?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you're from the Chicago area, right? I am also, however, I'm from Naperville and Naperville is the kind of place where if you said there was a gang there, people would laugh in your face. FYI, Naperville was voted the #1 place to raise your kids by Newsweek a few years ago (#3 this year, I think). I have heard of the GDs, though but not from people that live in Naperville.

Lots of gang problems, it's really bad here in Toronto.. I just know the names and acknowledge the ones that have affected me.

[CP] - Don't know what it stands for, everybody just calls them CP. But currently they are accused of being responsible for a friend of a friend's death..
[GW] G-Way - My 'brother' [not biologically] is involved with this gang, and its become a pretty big part of my life trying to get him to stop with all this gang activity ..
[DG] The Dawes Gang - on 'Dawes Road'; a lot of my friend's siblings are in there..
[PC] Parmacourt Crew - lives in a certain apartment called Parmacourt building, known as 'Paki Palace'; a bunch of pakistanian people.

i know about a gajillion zillion , katrillion types of gangs based on territory , race or livelihood in the NY area ...but i dont go on that route . usually the Metro is what keeps more brothers out of gangs nowadays ....thank you new york.

Down in Frisco sure there's gangs, but then its basically alot of people who roll deep, territory etc. you got HP alongside 3rd street, projects, drug dealing the works etc. down where I use to live you got the fellas with the bootleg sht. Stolen Items, and low lifes. You walk in these areas fitted and geared up,or walking with your iPod for sure your gonna get jumped.

Down in Mission, you got some crypts down there, bloods, again territory wise but with the mexicans, latins, hispanic. well its diversified.
