Anyways, I don't think being a prep has to do anything w/ going to A&F & Hollister on a regular basis.

A common misconception is that a prep is someone who shops at American Eagle, Abercrombie & Fitch and Hollister and pariticpates in school sports and activites. A prep is actually one who attends a prepatory school, usually on the east coast, comes from an old rich family and dresses in labels like Ralph Lauren and Lacoste. preps aren`t bad. i mean, i guess some are, but most aren`t. i`m talking about classic preps though. *as in you go to martha`s vineyard in the summer/the hamptons, play tennis, go to prep school, etc.* "modern" preps might be different.

it wasn't until last year that i became friends with people in "the group." and at first it was great ya know and then i realized how bitchy they could be. and then they pretended like i wasn't good enough for them because i hated abercrombie or whatever. by the end of the year i was so sick of it and i can barely stand being around some of the people i used to hang out with. so that's the story.

I agree to the fact that not all rich girls who wear expensive clothing are bitches who think they're better than anybody else...actually...I know a few that are decent. What I can't stand are the clones that follow them around...trying to be sooo much like them that also irks me greatly.

At my school...what you consider "preps" are a bunch of ditzy girls who are shallow, rich, spoiled, and just plain STUPID. I sit in class with a bunch of them...and I have to stop from shooting myself. it's that bad. They're are a few, though...that are pretty smart and arn't that bad
