i don't know but lately i've always been hungry all the time, and i keep eating, and i have gained weight, but only like 2 pounds. but it bothers me that i've been eating more than i think i should. are they any reasons as to why that i get so hungry?
i'd think that if were using a lot of energy i'd be hungry, but i haven't being doing much... i've recently tried to give up things to cut down on calories but i still find myself hungry.. ![]() any suggestions? *MOD: i was wondering this should be under food or health but if it's not food just move it please* thanks |

That two pounds could easily be water weight. Also, what kinds of foods are you eating? I'm not really a health guru, so I can't really give much advice about what to eat/how to get more energy.. but if you're concerned about gaining weight, don't cut back on what you're eating; instead, exercise more to burn off those calories. It's healthier. :] (I think this belongs more in health than food, but.. *shrug*)

try googling 'excessive hunger.' but don't worry too much. tell your parents or doctor if it seems serious.

(soda) Look is your air condition on a low temp? haha, and, i don't have air conditioning in my home. |

Get up and go have some fun and run around and play a sport with some friends.
Also if your eating so much perhaps start eating really small 6 meals a day. Its actually healthier for you to do this instead of 3 really big meals a day. As long as your eating healthy and just eat healthy stuff such as fruit for a snack or yogurt perhaps or just drink some water or something that will cure your appetite then your doing just fine. people do go through grow spurts when you eat a lot and then grow some.. you may be older than that though, I wouldn't know though. |

It's probably just random phases, I get them too especially when I'm on my period.
2 lbs isn't much, like what others said...it's water weight. However, trying to reduced your calorie intake will cause you to eat more if you are not accustomed to it. If you still feel wary about eating more that you normally would, try to: #1 drink more water #2 eat foods high in fiber, foods high in fiber will fill you up faster.(ex. Frosted Mini Wheats, oatmeal, or Kashi products) #3 consume more protein, like meat...beans...peanut butter #4 eat slowly throughout the day And the basics of eating healthy and exercising regularly. |

Klutzibabi hit it right on the dot.
But you want to be hungry very often. Try eating 6 meals a day, and instead of eating 1 bowl of cereal... try two bowls of cereal or in other words just bump up the food intake per meal. Hell just stick to eatin more protein, you'll love the outcome :) Oh and the drinkin of more water, this is very very important... drink a gallon of water if you're already drinkin that much, drink 2 gallons of water. |

No... check it, calories feeds the body energy, carbs feeds energy but when you have a lot of carbs you need to do activities, such as working out or cardio or even sports.
Protein specifically feeds the muscles for helping size and strength, but you must do activities that will stimulate the muscles. This is how you gain size, endurance, and strength. When you eat say 5000 calories and burn 5000 calories daily, this is considered "maintenance" calories for your specific body type, such as size and weight. When you eat 5000 calories but only burn 2000 calories, you have 3000 calories added onto your body, meaning the next morning it's gonna be stuck on you unless you burn the "extra" 3000 calories the next day. Meaning you'd have to burn 8000 calories to maintain your weight. If you eat 5000 calories and you burn more calories during the day at an overall of lets say... 6000 calories, through out the day you're gonna be more hungry than usual. If you still eat when you're hungry but you burned more calories than what you intake in that meal... you're gonna still feel a bit hungry or get hungry again before you normally eat again. If you want to lose weight, you must keep the same amount of protein or bump up the protein in order to keep your strength, endurance, and size of your muscles. This will only attack your fat. If you eat less calories and protein overall, you will not only lose fat but muscle as well. If you want to gain weight (hopefully muscle weight/size) you will need to eat 5500+ calories, whicih is called above maintainance calories. But these calories all still have to be healthy and specially alot more protein to feed your muscles. If you starve yourself, meaning you do not eat when you're hungry, all you're doing is making your body attack your own muscles and organs for nutrients, not your fat because your fat holds no nutrients. When women areon their period, they get bloated... or shall I say dehydrated, only way to combat this is by drinkin more water. And as far as cramps, eat one banana in the morning and eat one banana at night before bed, Potasium helps out alot with cramps. Hope that all helps out especially in understanding how losing, keeping, and gaining weight works. |
