QUOTE
i've noticed recently that the topics being made in here, and the girls locker room have not been PG-13.

so i figured i'd post the MEANING of PG-13 in here and, the girls locker room hoping that this will lessen the inappropriate topics.

Rough or persistent violence is absent; sexually-oriented nudity is generally absent; some scenes of drug use may be seen; one use of the harsher sexually derived words may be heard.

so please no more topics about masturbation, size of your penis or, any topics related to these types.

jackie

Okay i hate saying this because it will make me look like a COMPLETE pervert but i believe it needs to be said. If you make these two rooms PG-13 doesnt that defeat the main purpose of the rooms? The definition of the guys locker room is "Forum for the guys. Talk about all the manly guy stuff." One of the most manliest part of a male is his erectile body (penis). If you have a question about something yopu have wrong with your manlyness or you feel the need to discuss you manlyness is there no other place better than the locker room? Anyway, i disagree with this "PG-13" thing and i believe it should be changed to a higher rating such as MATURE.

PLease follow this up with your opinions because that woukld be GREATLY appreciated

NOTICE THIS WAS MOVED FROM BOYS LOCKEROOM MANUALLY SO DONT TAKE IT AS DOUBLE POSTING

It's not so much about the topics that are PG-13, it's the discussions that aren't. We would've have a problem with topics about "manly parts" and their respective problems if people talked about them in a respectful, mature manner. But the truth is, people don't. Most of these topics lead to spam, and endless jokes about the aforementioned "manly parts".

With all do respect I strongly disagree and beg to differ towards your points. I believe it is rude and unjust for the female gender to control the male locker room. As shown in the shutting down post, the people who discuss the topic are only of the femal sex. It is scientifically proven that male's are more attracted to sex than females. Due to this, while females find these convorsations disgusting, males find these topics normal and interesting. In the girls locker room, many females talk about their periods and problems with their feminisum. The female mods of createblog need to understand that this is the same thing in our eyes. They are talkign about inapropriate content but it seems natural to them because they are not diguisted by it. No one is forcing females to read the blogs in the male locker room, so i do not find it adiquate for the females to say "I'm tired of reading it" because they don't have too!!! If they do not want to read about a man part then they have the choice NOT to click on it. Lockerr rooms are meant to be for all the same sex! I have yet to heard of a coh-ed locker room and i doubt there will ever be one. But on creatblog people are making this a coh-ed thing and i don't think its right!!!! If you ask me i think you should change the rating and let people talk about what they would WANT to talk about....

With all do respect, I also strongly disagree and beg to differ with you. Our female mods are EXTREMELY mature, and any discussion about "manly parts" wouldn't disgust them. Ask the rest of the cB population, and they'll agree with me. So get your facts straight before you go insulting the female members.

Also, many male members on here don't appreciate the immaturity of the respective locker rooms. Not only isn't it kid-friendly, it also tarnishes cB's reputation as a respectable blogging community. Instead of being known as that, we'd be known as a forum for perverted 12 year olds that like to talk about their b0NerSzz.

And besides, we have been through this many, many times. "Why are there boys in the girls' locker room?" "Why are there girls in the boys' locker room?" have come up multiple times. If you think you're being original to point this out, well, you're not. The general consensus is that we can't really control these things, and most people agree that having a different perspective in a gender-specific subforum is very helpful.

My appologese. The things said in this thread have been taken in wrong ways of tone. I did not have any thought of insulting the female mods in the CB community i must agree many of the cb mods are very mature and kind. I'll admit that you are right and move on. Sorry for the rude attitude.

Don't get so worked up about it. It's fine. =)

As Gigi said, it's not so much the topics themselves. Most people don't handle the subject well and the topics become spam/useless.

I still think he has a piont... i see alot of girls going into the guys locker room and getting offended by what is said there... It is pretty rediculous...

You don't see to many guys in the girls locker room... but the boys locker room is swimming in them.

I don't think it is insulting that he feels that famale mods shouldn't controlt the boy's locker room... I personally feel the same way. I also feel that male mods shouldn't be able to control the girls locker room. Yes it is sexist, but the sex's are defferent. A guy may have a different view on what is and is not pg-13 when talking about a subject that is being discussed around other guys. Even if the joking gets "out-of-hand".

I also see that girls may have a different piont of view upon what is and isn't pg-13 when talking to other girls. The truth is that some things are appropriate when talking to people of the same sex and are not appropriate when talking to people of the opposite sex.

Just becuase the female mods are mature doesn't mean that they will look at things in the same light as a male figure and visa versa. IT'S JUST A FACT! MEN ARE DIFFERENT FROM WOMEN. MEN UNDERSTAND OTHER MEN BETTER THAN MOST WOMEN UNDERSTAND MEN, AND WOMEN UNDERSTAND OTHER WOMEN BETTER THAN MOST MEN UNDERSTAND WOMEN. I don't think that the female mods are doing a bad job either(my girlfriend is one of them XD). In fact, I think that they are doing a great job, but I don't think that they should be running eachothers locker rooms for that very reason.
