If you really want to pursue a relationship with him, go have a heart to heart talk with him about it, and if both of you are really good friends, then even if he doesn't like you back or if things don't work out, you guys can still remain friends.

Oh yes. Yes yes yes, lol. I was best friends with this girl and I'd go over to her house and hang out and stuff and I liked her for over a year and she had no idea. I mean I was crazy in love, haha. We're still great friends today and it's like a brother/sister friendship.

I waited so long for her, but I knew it wouldn't work. I was like a brother to her. I'd rather have her friendship than nothing at all, you know?

Well personally I think it's a great idea to hook up with someone that has been your best friend. The reason I'm sayin this is from experience.. My friend introduced me to this one guy about a year ago.. he already had feelings for someone else but i really liked him at the time.. but then we became really good friends ... like the kind that you tell each other EVERYTHING. and then just three months ago we ended up hookin up... Dont' get me wrong it was weird at first. and the whole startin out part was weird cuz your so used to just friends... but it worked out great in the end and I am happier than i have ever been.

I had (maybe even still have) a crush on my best guy friend. He didn't know, it was all good. Then one fine day HE TOLD ME HE LIKED ME and that he wanted to pursue a relationship with me. At that point, I had a boyfriend of 10 months (now almost 1 year!), so I said no. Ever since then, he's been pressuring me to dump my boyfriend, and get with him. I keep saying no. Now, our relationship as best friends is kind of strained....

And then...one day he became my boyfriend. And I've never been happier.

I know it's hard though for best friends to become more because they're afraid of losing their friendship, but I really truely beleive that if we break up we'll still always be friends.
