I wouldn't mind if it was an option, but I really wouldn't like it as standard. pinch.gif

we already have this option...well the same extent.

go to the top of the page, hit options and then go to outline.

The option sort of exists already. It's the "Outline" option. It doesn't display posts in quite the same way, though. You can look at it yourself to see, but it basically gives a tree view of the thread, and then you can click on a specific subthread, but it doesn't display the whole post, as in my mockup. There's also no way to see new posts, etc.

I know how to use the option button. I'm not some kind of fool. I've known that since I joined cb.
Eh. I know the outline version is there, but maybe somehow the outline can be formatted into your design, Michael.

Eh.

Excuse me? Am I not inclined to say, "I'm not a fool." ?
I was making a point so nobody else would say, "hey dumbo this is what the option button is for...you click the arrow and then you click on "outline". Fact is, I know more about cb than you do.

Other than that, I was also making a point about the topic at hand. And you, are not?

Anywho. I still don't know if forum restrictions will allow my idea. But somehow we will find a way shifty.gif

why? because you've been on staff for 3 days?

and am i not inclined to say that there is a similar feature that obviously the whole world knows about because janette knows about it?

just because you say you know about it and dont want someone else to come in here and say it, you're still like a minority in the fact that you know, but not everyone else does. you're not the majority of cB.

i now have nothing else to say to you.

Good. Keep it that way and stay on topic. You too Janette. aniwink.gif

Michael, I think this is a wonderful idea and I really appreciate your time put into it. I personally like the current standard better but I have only used your idea on other forums a few times before. I'm sure I'd like it a little more if I was used to it. I think the standard should remain the standard but I would love to see this as an option in CB4. Keep up the good work. thumbsup.gif
