Sports give people hope. Sports give people something to entertain them while the world is in chaos. Sports is an escape for many. I mean it is unfair they get that much amount of money but thats how life goes. Actors, Singers, Sports stars.

maybe if everyone stopped tuning in, buying game tickets, & merchandise they wouldnt get paid so much. the money doesnt come out of thin air. Alot of it comes from our pockets.
but i think they get overpaid. its like they got lucky with their talent, and we pay through the nose to watch.

Yes, I've always wondered that. Teachers have to put up with a lot of crap sometimes, and they don't get paid very much. It's not very fair.

yea it really is unfair i mean what benefit is paris hilton except acting like an idiot on t.v when teachers teach rude kids for a living and those kids are extremly ungrateful. this world is unfair.

i think firefighters and policemen should get a raise because they might not be able to save a life but they save many more while risking thier own everyday.

Actually, a lot of athletes have been to the lowest of the low and have risen above. Same for a lot of actors. I don't mind them getting paid so much. It's very touch to do those types of jobs. A LOT tougher then you think. I just don't like it when they go on strike as if they need more money.

I was just arguing with my cousin about this a few weeks ago. He actually believes that professional athletes DESERVE to get paid million to run around chasing a ball.

My mom is a special ed teacher, and she works so hard. She deserves so much more.

It's not about chasing the ball. it's also about self-worthy, confident, and power. anyways, let them have a million dollar. they worked for it. hard work paid off ? people paid money to watch these players so ... the money given to the athletes is NOT ridiculous. These people are ridiculous.

Um, it's NOT always hard work to be famous. If you're born with pipes like Christina Aguliera, you can make a million dollars with your hands tied behind your back. The hard part is trying to get signed, and you don't get paid for looking for a job.
