Hmm, I've neverheard of her. What exactly is she doing to be on the news and have her name inked into newspaper? ![]() I find that amusing. I dont really care for her. I know kids who say that she's their hero. She's just a puppet. I dont see how people in the middle east could take her seriously, mostly because she's a woman. |

There seems to be a mentality in this thread that anyone who doesn't like Condoleeza Rice's work either a) doesn't know anything about politics or b) is just nitpicking tiny little things like "laughing at a news conference" (whatever that is alluding to). There are also a lot of apologies for things she hasn't done, such as help diffuse the Israel-Lebanon conflict. But what about other shortcomings of Rice and the administration which she represents? Has she—and the administration—made any headway in Iraq? No, in fact, the situation in Iraq has only settled more and more into an all-out civil war—not a good indicator of foreign policy success. Has she made much headway in preventing Iran from beginning nuclear arms development, or prevented North Korea from strengthening its own missile program? And in a more general sense, how much has been done to repair our faltering image worldwide?
