Often times I feel as if my parents, more so my mother, say things and do things just to show me examples of how I "should" act. I find this annoying because how can they expect me to follow them if they don't believe in what they're saying themselves? Sometimes she'll be talking to someone on the phone and I'll be in the next room and she'll speak up louder so that I hear something she's saying. Something like "That's why you shouldn't have sex before marriage." or some other bit of "wisdom" she has. It really annoys me. Sometimes I think they pull out the Bible in front of my sister and me to show us they're doing a good job following God. I'll go in the living room, one of them will start reading the bible and as soon as I leave they put it away. Little things like that happen a lot.
So, what do you think? Do your parents ever do things like this? |

Mine never did. My dad was quite possibly the worst example ever, and he still expected me to follow the rules, LOL.
That being said, I didn't have a whole hell of a lot of rules, either. |

hmmm my parents I don't think so, their pretty much care free but once in awhile come in with some advice instead of trying to notice it while being well like what you were saying, but not much rules just curfues.

i think all parents are like that ? ...noones perfect right ?? they just set out rules to give the best for there children...so they don`t want to go the same road .

^ damn I hate that too, like look at that kid over there he's accomplished much, what are you gonna do or Why can't you be more like your cousins they always get good grades and do their HW, or why don't you go to the Military since you have nothing to do with your life. UNCARING bastards lol I hate being compared and hate being a follower, it'd be boring if every body is the same.

Not really. I bet they do, but they're so good at it by now, I don't notice. Unless you count that time my mom forgot to pay the credit card bill because she thought it was the week before.
