straighten their hair when it's already straight?
I understand if your hair is curly,
but I know girls who have pretty straight hair,
and after they straighten their hair,
you cant tell a difference. mellow.gif

... I tried straightening my hair and nobody noticed a difference,
at all,
even though I pointed out that I straightened one side
and the other was left untouched. cry.gif

they're just not satisfied with how straight their natural hair is, so they just use the straightener to make them feel better.

People notice when I straighten my hair.

I only do it in the morning after I wake up, after my hair is really weird and sticking up in strange places. And only the ends, too. If I ever straightened my ENTIRE HEAD, I'd look like a freak. My bangs would be all wonky.

When I don't, it usually looks messy, a little frizzy and wavy (in a bad way) at the ends. When I straighten my hair, the ends look waaaay tamer and...well, straighter.

Sometimes, though, when I'm in a good mood, I take out a round brush and curl my hair slightly with a hair dryer to substitute for hair straightening. So...it's either going to be super straight, or deliberately wavy.

i have pretty straight hair, but i still straighten it sometimes.
straightening it helps prevent frizz as well... and sometimes even when you have straight hair, your ends curl up if you have layers (even if you don't).

I think curly hair is great. Why would you want to make your hair straight (well, besides doing it up?). I have really straight hair, and I've always thought wavy hair looked cool.

Erm.... well, I had "straight" hair, only it was like wavy in some parts and it bugged me, so I straightened it out... then my hair just kinda got more and more wavy... so now sometimes I set it as curly, and sometimes I just full on straighten it... so ya

but I think taht girls who have like really straight hair and then straighten, probably are just trying to get rid of wave or whatever... to some people having nice hair is looking good... and looking good provides confidence??

LOL man. I don't know anybody who do that. I would like to know why too, to those who straighten their hair when their hair is already naturally straight.

Well then don't straighten it if it's already straightened...girls probably do that because they think their hair could get straighter... blink.gif

-Noddles- stubborn.gif I used to straighten my hair every morning because I was convinced it looked horrible when I didn't. Buut now I kinda like it towel-dried and wavey.

Actually, blow-drying your hair isn't for straightening purposes. I blow-dry my hair because I can't stand wet hair.
