I realized something. I love the real world (not the show, but..the real..world). It's exciting and it's beautiful in its own way. I don't want to go to heaven. In heaven you can't masturbate, have sex, get turned on, play videogames, do things that are sinfully... amusing and entertaining. So I love the world. My friend says if you go to heaven you won't want those things. But why would I not want them? they feel good, I want them!
Would you rather exchange your painful and yet beautiful life in the real world for an emotionally numb nirvana in heaven? I'm sorry if I don;t make sense. But.. |

but that's stupid! and boring! That's like living a numb life, and suddenly realizing you're missing out on sooo many things.

but that's stupid! and boring! That's like living a numb life, and suddenly realizing you're missing out on sooo many things. But they're not truly missing out. A spiritually enlightened person is beyond the wants and needs of the material world and uses tools from their spiritual path to bring them happiness. |

Like I told you Yen. If you were a saved Christian you wouldn't have desire to do those things. You wouldn't need those things to be happy. Exactly, and you will realize that those thing can let you down, and will eventually go away. Also, How are videogames a sin? Im confused. I dont see heaven as a "emotionally numb" at all |

I dont see heaven as a "emotionally numb" at all well.. it IS violent sometimes... yeah Suzy that's exactly what I meant <.< idk guys, it's not any better to me. I know calling it boring seems weak but it isn't. I'd go insane. I mean if you look at like how they portrayed a perfect world in The Giver or Pleasantville, heaven seems too.. meh |

^well in that case I'd rather be a buddhist. I'll keep living lives until I reach pure nirvana -_-
Can you really say that if you haven't experienced it? oh I didn't see tihs.. I guess Archie you have the experience, but I don't mean to be offensive or judgmental, but based from what I've seen, that kinda life doesn't appeal to me. at all. |

What is happiness without its counterpart?

^thank you!
I mean, if you see something beautiful, it's beautiful but once you see the horrifying nature of its counterpart, it becomes even more beautiful |

Being sad? Are you saying you can't be happy without being sad? If that's the case, then you wouldn't be happy. You truly can't be happy without being sad. Because if there weren't sadness to counteract happiness, you wouldn't appreciate and know what happiness was. Did that make any sense whatsoever? |

Actually, Yen, I'm not taking sides in this discussion. I'm just pointing out stuff to refute and agree with.

You truly can't be happy without being sad. Because if there weren't sadness to counteract happiness, you wouldn't appreciate and know what happiness was. Well, you'd be content with yourself and your lifestyle. I think you would know what happiness was, because you'd be happy all the time. Maybe happy's not the right word but content and pleased. |

Actually, Yen, I'm not taking sides in this discussion. I'm just pointing out stuff to refute and agree with. I see I see but Suzy that's.. not fun. If you've ever watched Pleasantville you'd understand what I mean =x it doesnt' have anything to do with religion but it shows how better real life is and I don't understand the concept of being content and happy all by yourself without needings its counterparts. That's... it doesn't sound like something I'd appreciate |

DANGIT I MISSED IT WHEN YOU MADE THE TOPIC.
sux0rz Like I told you Yen. If you were a saved Christian you wouldn't have desire to do those things. You wouldn't need those things to be happy. Right. Heaven is so much more of a place than earth will ever be. You won't need things to satisfy yourself because satisfaction is already there. You won't feel the need to make yourself happy because Heaven is eternal happiness. |
