Edit: Sorry, my computer lags so I double posted.

^ I agree. This was a decent movie.

The monter things had me jumping at first but once you saw what it was..you just kinda gave up on it. But it was a decent movie.

It kept you thinking. Trying to figure out who's purpose is which and what.
I think the kid reading cereal boxes...wtf?!
+ I think it's cool how he acts in his own movies.

Tarantino does! And Hitchcock (who I believe Shyamalan said is one of his major influences _unsure.gif).

I think it looks incredibly stupid, but who knows. I doubt I'll ever see it, to be honest.

dont get me wrong i like most of m night's movies beacuse of their twists like the village and sixth sense, but this was his worst movie. like i like the story and everything but like the movie just lagged, it wasnt good. but mostlikely i will still see his next movie. but this one wasnt one of his best

i don`t think i`m gonna go see this movie. i`m just not a fan of the plot. it kind of reminds me of a college movie revised & became a big budget movie.

Agreed. I was expecting a twist at the end as well and was very disappointed. And the whole moral of the story about everyone having a purpose and all is nice but I don't think it was executed well.

At least the characters were interesting. That's the only thing I enjoyed about this movie.

I heard that Shyamalan wrote Giamatti's character for him alone. He barely practiced (if anything) before they shot the scenes. Eep. I guess that's sort of unrelated. It just reminded me of that when you mentioned the characters. shrug.gif

Yeah, I can believe that. The role seemed perfect for him, he played it well.

I found the Asian mother and daughter relationship amusing. I'm sure there's a few of us here who can relate or have seen Asian families like that. laugh.gif

This movie was so badly orchastrated. It was interesting to watch yes, but you could see amatur all over this movie.

Listen. The first time I ever saw a commercial about Lady in the Water was when I went to see the Benchwarmers. The commercial showed a lonely guy living out in the back of the hotel in his little place, and then he hears someone jump in the water, and the audience sees a woman. From that, I thought it was a romance movie, and I was planning on seeing it with a date.

Then, another commercial played some time later, and they added a wolf... with prickly twigged tale... Wtf? Whatever... I'll let it slide...

Ok now the next commercial I saw, wtf is this, an Eagle. WTF is this indian writer up to. Then they add some confused people who are just rediculous themselves.

So far, you have a salad of a lonely guy, a lady in the water, a wolf, an eagle, and some very confused people. What happened to my romantic movie?

Last but not least, and the reason why I went to see this movie for myself: I swear I saw a troll run across the screen in one commercial, and I laughed my self to death. It was one of those moments that you had to be there to understand.

So I went to see the movie, and the movie twisted so many times, that the twists were twisted, and then they were twisted once more, kids reading omens through cereal boxes, microphones showing up on top of the actors head (WTF did they not see that in editing!? lol), and the guy with one arm bigger than the other. I love that. Bravo.

You have to see this film, ladies and gentlmen. Its romantic, its frighening... its hilarious.

it's not supposed to be scary. it's an inspirational fairy tale. the early previews made it look scary just to hype up the movie.
