how do i get a background for ONLY the margins...
like the gray outside part on the original myspace layout does that make sense? |

Only use the property body.
<style type="text/css">body{YOURSTUFFHERE}</style> If you see a code like the following. table,tr,td{background-color:transparent;border:0} Erase that and the area you want should only be affected.  |

wait im really confused haha
someone gave me a code a while ago that was really simple but i cant find it and like... if you click on my myspace link i just want the background on the gray outside part ive seen people do it before, and ive even done it before someone pleaaase help |
