I think an agreement has been reached.
There will be a thread made on this issue in the future where we can discuss this furthur. I guess the point of a backstage thread will be so that we mods can discuss it, and also to get an ok on having your topic posted in the Lounge. I will close this so that other members would be able to catch up and read up on this. Topic Closed Edit: I'm also going to pin this for a little while so you guys can find it. |

I've opened this topic to add that both the Community Guidelines and the Forum Rules in the Lounge have been updated (all of it).
If there are any concerns, please do bring it up and thank you greatly for the feedback. Edit\\ Re-opened. |

Oh for f**k's sake.
Has anyone else registered that half of this thread is worthless babble? What's more, it is worthless babble that has been said 439804737403984 times! WE'VE TRIED THE MEMBER INPUT THING. anyone remember the by-laws? anyone else note that they were a COLLOSAL failure? Just me? fine. and a f**king petition? how naive ARE you people? A petition will not be of any help, because it does not include any discussion. it is just people signing their names (typing, if you like), with little or no thought required. one can just think 'thats cool, lots of people have done that', and put their names down because something sounds nifty, even if the petition glosses over the potential for failure in the idea. Petitions are for the mindless, and should have no bearing in decision making. This will never work, because it is trying to incorporate everyones ideas too early. What needs to happen is that the mods should get together and just DO SOMETHING, without consulting the members, and put it in place. if it is a complete flop, then try again, using the good bits from the original and improving, rather than starting from scratch again whenever everyone gets bored with the big 'members movement' of the moment, which will inevitably happen here. that is why we have the same damn conversation 34098714234 times. because everyone argues, or drifts off, because we're trying to start too big. At the end of the day, what it comes down to is mods. And either the inability or the unwillingness to make clear decisions, and just accept that at the end of the day, people WILL dislike them. get the HELL over it. if you cant handle the fact that you cant please everyone, and that some unpopularity comes with authority, you SHOULDNT BE IN THE JOB. do something and then fix it if it needs it. but if your're going to do nothing but fret backstage until the members get bored and we get a couple weeks of calm, then let someone else have a go, and get the f**k out. you're leaders, so lead for christs sake. and how many rhetorical questions were in that post? |

Breathe.
I have my doubts about the petition. I don't think it will do much good but I'll wait for some clear info as to how it will be done and what they aim to do. I won't rule it out just because I've had experiences where most ideas that come up don't really work. I don't see any mod bitching about not being liked or having members against us so I don't see where that second to last paragraph is coming from. The point of this topic was to get some clear and concise definitions of spam and we've done that. Hopefully the new definitions will clear things up. Oh, and member input isn't always useless. I do remember you were fighting for member input when hiring new mods during the revolution. |

I thought about that petition thing after they closed the topic. I don't think it is a great idea anymore.. How many people would actually sign that petition. Maybe a few not not a whole lot would. It would sort of be a failure if we has a petition

I'm also seeing a lot of unnecessary bans//warnings, yet I also see bans//warnings which should happen never happening. |

Arhfgdsafd I told you a petition wouldn't work. Rather small paragraphs. Care to go further with that? how any people would actually take the time to write a small paragraph. Alot of the people in cb are lazy and don't like to write much edit// I also noticed that too. I see people who spam alot like but they do not get warning. Poepl who do not spam as much get a warning. There are some peopl who are big spammers that have been warned though |

Some mods are so lenient to the point where it seems like they must have assurance of all the other moderators before they close anything, and that does not mean we need more "laid back" mods. Yes, they could probably be a little easier on the warnings by issuing the verbal warnings more generously, but if anything, it means there should be more active stricter mods because more topics would be closed or moved to where they should be.Like who? And how do you know all this if a regular member can't see others' warning logs? Perhaps she means that there is no verbal warning on the boards.

I'll have to look at the times.A simple warning (a raised warning level) doesn't mean you cannot post. You still have the ablility to post and view the boards. |

i have a huge disageement with Arjuna Capulong for closing a topic, being too tight, and etc.
although, he's doing his job and is considered an new member. he doesnt know what was cB was like before. i want him to be relaxed a little. I think it would be nice. and No, i'm not starting to cause war w/ him. this is why i brought back the micron's topic. http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php...9760&st=150 maybe, i should open a bylaw topic to change the policy of the moderators and recieve more benefits for the member. hopefully, a lot of member will participate with great demand. ---------- this is something that the jusun would LOVE to look at. so please, no one should close this ;] give us our free speech. |

Don't be offended when I say that you're not making much sense. We've seen the disastrous results of being too lenient. An unmoderated forum (considering what cB has been through) will not work at all.
What do you mean by "policy of the moderators"? Besides which, I don't think the issue against the existence of spam was raised. Edit!! Okay. I didn't see that you brought that topic back again. I thought you meant your bringing back the topic before the last. IGNORE ME FOR THE MOMENT. Edit 2\\ No, I agree with what Kiera said in that thread. =) |

so please, no one should close this ;] give us our free speech. It was closed so that everyone could catch up. Wasn't meant to shut anyone up. And really, if you want security to be lowered then maybe everyone should start acting like they can handle it? Really. It's likes kids. They want to start being treated like an adult, but they are always making the same child mistakes. Parents start treating them like adults when they start acting like it. And that was just an example.JUST AN EXAMPLE. I'm NOTcomparing Kids/Members to Parents/Mods . Most definately am I not. |

Were you talking about this topic, or some other topic/s? Anyway. You should have received a PM. I guess tell me if you didn't. Sometimes you guys tell us to be lenient and relaxed, other times you guys tell us we should be even more strict and not so scared of warning/closing, etc. It can get confusing! |
