Definition

Some people get confused or don't really know the complete definition for "Anime" or "Otaku" is. So here are the definitions to help you out!

Anime: a style of animation originating in Japan. It is sometimes referred to by the portmanteau Japanimation. Anime is characterized by stark, colorful graphics and stylized, colorful images depicting vibrant characters in a variety of different settings and story-lines, aimed at a wide range of audiences. Anime may be broadcast on television, distributed on media such as DVDs or published as console and computer games. Anime is usually influenced by Japanese comics known as manga.


Otaku: a variety of geek (or an overly obsessed fanboy / fangirl) specializing in anime and manga.

Nah I don't think so, I mean maybe if the club goes under or something and some time later someone brings it "back to life" and names it A02. lol So I have no idea how long this group will be up. Hopefully for a long time.

I know Patricia is supposed to make it next, however, I haven't seen her on in a long time.
Plus, I need someone to make this who is active. Cassie made this topic, but she isn't active and can't help me add new members to the front page by editing her post. I need some help here. So whoever makes the next thread needs to be active and willing to help me add new members in.

we don't have an anime club, but we do have a manga club. it was started this past school year. i haven't gone to any meetings though. i'm not one for staying in school any longer than i have to.

My friends & I wanted to start one freshman year... wow, the old times. Anyway, we tried to get 1/3 of the school to sign it, because that was requireeeed. It never happened. So we just held our own thing at my friend Jo's house... Called NENJA© (nerd entertainment, not just anime) it had everything, manga, anime, video games, music!! (i was the Computer DJ ^_^) etc.. I miss those days..
