Well, my dad got me 7.0 a few days ago, and i found some brushes. But then two days ago, my old laptop had so many viruses. I haven't used in in about a year, and bought a new desktop. But anyways. So then i started to play around with it, and then i got all 800 something viruses out except for nine, i think , and now, i'm using the laptop because it consumes less energy than a desktop would. Then i installed the photoshop on the laptop. I found some brushes from hot layouts' site. I installed them, and i thought i was good to go. I had nothing to photoshop, so i decided to photoshop my cousin's picture. then i got the gradients and all that good stuff on there. EXCEPT for the brushes. I clicked the brush button, and i was just about to select the brush i downloaded. BUT THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN, THE COMPUTER WENT BLANK, THE SOUNDS TURNED OFF BUT IT WAS STILL ON. The laptop was still running, though because the light was on, and still sounded the same [the ''hum'' of the fan, etc] so yeah. I mostly bought photoshop for brushes. Because you can't do that in the 4.0, and you can't do that in another photo editing software that i got online. But yeah. So could this be that the computer has issues, and the brushes are somehow interfering with the viruses that i couldn't get rid off and shut down my computer? The brush is an .abr file. I know that for sure. And if i can't get it to work without the brushes, i might just install it in my desktop. But is that allowed? Like legal? Because if not, then i don't really see the point in the photoshop, if i can't use the brushes. Because the free photo editing software that i got for free [and legally] is actually BETTER than photoshop[in my eyes], only takes up less than 10 MB, and loads faster [just double click& then its up]. Except that you can't use brushes. Which was mostly the point in me getting 7.0. Well i know i wrote alot, and i'm sorry. LOL. But yeah. there's my story. any suggestions on what i should do? And i also tried running a scan for those other viruses, but i think it said something that it can't be deleted because something about Read-Only or something like that. =\
