Suicidial ? Fishes jump out of the bowl .. that's why they have tanks with lids on them ?

So we got another fish and it died after about three hours. We just found it dead in the fishbowl.

We're such horrible parents. cry.gif

I think I know who did it. It was probably the chupacabra. I bet you it sucked the fish out of the bowl.

But.. wtf.. so you're saying she committed suicide? >.<

When a fish is stressed or feels a bit too cramped or sees a an edible insect flying about it would try to jump out

FISH MURDER! FISH SUICIDE!

Hmm, maybe someone tried to kidnapp the fish, and when they heard you coming, they ran and dropped the fish. >_>

Yeah it's not so weird, because when fish don't have so much room, they like to jump out. They're stupid (no offense haha) so they don't know they're really jumping at air, "committing suicide." :(

my fish did that too once, when we went on vacation and had a friend take care of it. it was too hot and it jumped out of the bowl, apparently.
