QUOTE(gigiopolis @ Jul 13 2006, 8:48 PM) *
Love love love her books. I remember reading her Princess Diaries ones a few years back, and a few others like All American Girl. I'm so behind on PD, I stopped reading them. :(

Recently I've started reading her more adult-targeted chick lit, ones like Boy Meets Girl, Every Boy's Got One, Boy Next Door, and most recently, Size 12 Is Not Fat. I love chick lit in general, but Meg Cabot's chick lit is awesome. It's great for when you want a quick, satisfying and funny read.

Boy Next Door and Boy Meets Girl.
If you're into chick lit, those are a must read. I loved both of them. Also, there's a sequel to All American Girl, so you should definitely check that out. happy.gif

Meg Cabot is probably one of my top five favorite authors.
Her books are always so interesting to read. _smile.gif

I love the Princess Diaries series and the Mediator ones as well.

MAN, I love this author. Even though I'm 18, I buy every one of the Princess Diaries series. HAHA, I can actually relate to Mia-her sarcastic side(< And I own other Meg Cabot books but I love the P.R. series. Even if it's for "pre-teens" I still love it<3 But I think there's some things pre-teens haven't experienced yet or understand some of the stuff written in there. But hey, who knows?

I just finished the sixth book in the Princess Diaries series. Some parts of this book are hilarious. I'm not really into chick lit, but this was entertaining.

I've also read Avalon High. I thoroughly enjoyed it because it was a bit of a mystery story and the whole element of history tied to it was interesting. And I've just started Size 12 is Not Fat. Hope I won't be disappointed.

^ I finished that a while ago. It's the first in a series, so I'm going to expect more; because honestly, I was quite disappointed.

I would say why but that would ruin the ending for you. =)

I absolutely love Meg Cabot's tone... like, the way she writes, the words she uses. She's witty.

I read the Mediator series three times. I'm in love with Jesse... he's amazing. Ghostie or no ghostie.

One thing I like about Meg Cabot is her ability to make me laugh, even if it's for a lame reason. :D There have been many times when I've laughed at something silly in the Princess Diaries series.

I think I've only read the Mediator series from her. I've seen some of her newer books on the tables at borders; I might check them out when I find the time, she seems to be really popular.

I am kind of a fan of hers.
I mean, all of the story lines are the same.
Girl likes boy.
Boy likes other girl.
Other boy likes first girl.
Girl ends up with other boy.
The Mediator and Avalon High are my favorite Meg Cabot books, no doubt.
Everything else is just...repetitive.

*Bump*

Chick lit never makes me cry but I finished the 8th book in the Princess Diaries series and teared. I think that I've gotten too far into the stories to stop reading them and I HAVE to know how this ends, especially after this one. My friend gladly lends me her books because she's obsessed with them. :P

Ahh well, this series will always be my guilty pleasure.

I've never read The Princess Diaries series, but I've read a few Mediator ones. I really liked All-American Girl. I need to read Avalon High and How to Be Popular.
