picture as background in sig/banner

how do you put a picture into a sig/banner as a background? the problem im having is that im trying to make a sig/banner 500x150, and the picture im using is bigger than that. how do i make it fit? happy.gif

Do you have a program or something? If you have gimp/photoshop/psp you can shrink it down. You probably can with paint too, just google tutorials. Yea.

well, what i did was that i copied and pasted the big picture into the 500x150 banner, and it looks okay. ^^ but i'll see if anyone has other ways of doing it, so i can learn. ^^;;

There are other ways and we're trying to tell you about them.

But first, we need to know which program you're using.
