Frankly because it's fun.

i like the people, in VERY different ways, and i am general involved in som emino rtiff or other, and am incapable of letting things go, so i keep getting dragged back.

as to waht i get out of it, i tend to learn something, or at least find new bands/movies who i reall ylike (i've lost track of the number of group si heard of through the underground thread)
