Who knows what a cotillion/debut is? Its a huge celebration in different cultures, I'm talking about the Filipino one, for a girl's 18th birthday. My friend had a huuuge one with the cotillion dance and everything.

I just went to a friend's debut on the 7th. It was pretty awesome, but maaaaaaaaannnnn did the DJ suck. He was playing old people music and he didn't take requests even if nobody was dancing to the crap he was playing.

Everyone was having some kind of debut back home..But I usually saw the really big and elegant ones on TV..usually for celebrities

We used to have this thing called cotillion, where we would learn proper etiquette, like ballroom dancing, which fork to use with the salad/fish/dessert. It was horrible! It was taught by this evil lady named Ms. Snodgrass and when we were learning the steps she would go 1..2..3.. over, and over and over..so we all left the place with her being a metranome in our heads.
But that looked like so much fun! And you sing so well! |

i went to 4 debut's this year.. they were at the casino's ballroom and the hotel ballrooms as well. it's pretty fun to see them do thier dance and stuff. i had fun.

I had one but for my 16th birthday
 loved it.. minus some of the drama..  it got so insane that we were gonna be on season one of MTV's My Super Sweet 16,  thank god it didn't happen because my party was in june and they wanted it flimed by may. had it in 2004 and pretty much my whole family came from everywhere it was crazy one of my greatest memories. some pictures (yea small i know i'll add better ones later)
