A major work-in-progress, first one of the summer.
Rendered in 3DS Max, using a stock chair model from DeviantArt (I'll replace it with my own later), with color correction and a background (sxc.hu) added in with Photoshop. I could really use some constructive criticism on this one. Here's a few things you should know:

I actually think the speckle-ness adds some texture. I love the colour scheme you have in place. It truly does look like a sunset.
Can I just ask what gave you this idea of a waiting room in manhattan at sunset? Oh yes. It looks soo real too. |

It was just a random idea I had. This started out as just a lighting/modelling practice, but I think it has the potential to be a lot more.

er, well i don't really think it looks like a sunset. it looks more like a noon or early afternoon to me :o
also, the chairs look funky on the carpet. maybe some deeper shadow where the legs go into the carpet? plus the shadows look off under the chairs. i dont know, maybe it's just me but it looks strange. and i dont know. something looks weird with the perspective of things. it seems like the lights are too big and the chairs get too small at the end in proportion to the size of the lights. but still, this is definitely amazing. it looks really nice :o |

The color goes together really well.
It has a modern feel to it. I don't like the lights, but they do match the furniture and such and the windows. The light comes in really well as well. |

Yeah, I changed the lighting/materials in 3DS, I might change the color balance in Photoshop to make up for that in the end product.

Wow, amazing job. I don't know if you're still going for the sunset look, but it looks to me like daybreak. Great colors, and it looks totally realistic.

I agree with marzipan, the first one looks more like a sunset. I love all you've added to the update though, it looks really realistic. Great job
