I want to read Beneath a Marble Sky by John Shors. It's about the life of Jahanara, the youngest daughter of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal.

^ Oooh, Shah Jahan. Interesting man, he was. I had to read this article about him and the construction of the Taj Mahal for my South Asian Art class this past semester and it was...it kinda read like something out of the Da Vinci Code, secret symbolism and such not. I'll give you the article name if you're interested.
And why did I have no clue he had a daughter? All you hear about is Aurangzeb (I probably butchered that spelling). Is it a novel? |

Well, it's a historical fiction novel. Sure, that article sounds interesting considering how much I loved Da Vinci Code. Haha, I have no idea if you misspelled his name; I know very little about the family. I'm ashamed.

^ It's by Wayne Begley and it's called "The Myth of the Taj Mahal and a New Theory of Its Symbolic Meaning." And you can read it here.

^that book was beautifully written. I didn't fully understand the context until about 10 minutes after I finished. Then it was like "that's disgusting."
I just finished "My Sisters Keeper." It was an amazing book, I highly reccomdend it. It's about this girl anna who is concieved purely as a donor to her sister Kate that has a rare form of cancer. It's really good, but have tissues nearby. It's sad. |

I would really like to read the Dune novels. I've had them for a while but never finished the first one. I have a bunch of books I'd like to read, but I never seem to get—or take—the time…

I'm reading the book, The Alchemist. It's a really wonderful and fascinating book. You can learn so many things from it. I read it 2 hours ago and I am hooked. I didn't stop reading it until I got to the second to the last chapter. I wanted to save the last two chapters till tomorrow (for some special reason)

I read A Year In The Merde by Stephen Clarke again, partly because the book is awesomely politically incorrect, and partly because I've been suffering from a shortage of good books lately.
