i searched but nothing similar came up...but in case i missed something mods close or move it :)

so a couple weeks ago i had acrylic nails put on for grad. well now they've gotten to the point where a) i don't want them anymore, and b) they just don't look good anymore. i know i can pay to have them removed but i'm a little tight on money right now. any tips on taking them off myself, without ripping my nails apart? pinch.gif i already got two off but they were already falling off themselves...and so far all the other ones are firmly in place! any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Yeah I have acrylic nails right now and i'll have that problem soon. I always just rip it off and it hurts, I'll try not to do that this time. But other than ripping I don't know how..

Kaitlynnn, haha I know a way. It can take awhile, but it helps. Soak your nails/fingertips in nailpolish remover for a looong time, then they're much easier to pry off. thumbsup.gif

you can soak them, but make sure theres acetone in the polish remover
& i tried that and soaked them for a loong time, and when i went to take them off i actually like ripped part of my nails off & i hadda go back to the salon to get them off i think its only like six dollars though..

^ thanks for the tips girls happy.gif

i think i might just suck it up and pay to get them taken off...but i want to save as much money as possible! i've heard that using acetone remover to soak your nails in isn't very good for them though
