Cell phone difficulty.

Okay so one day I was skipping through a parking lot amongst puddles, and of course, the cellular device drops out of my backpocket and into a puddle. At first, it went all bonkers and wouldn't work, but I dried it out I guess and it got "better." The problem is the fact that apparently the speaker/microphone/whatever is broken I think (i.e. people have a hard time hearing me). Is there anything else I can do/try? I really don't feel like paying $50 for a replacement, nor do I really enjoy screaming at the top of my lungs to have a decent coversation.

Either you find a cheap guy to repair it for you. Or you get it repaired for the 50. Or just buy a new phone entirely.

Ok, enough with the CS obssession crap. Every thread, there's always something about CS and you. It's either that, or the little "De_Inferno", on your info.

Well, you could try taking it apart, seeing what's exactly broken and trying to get a replacement for just that. But if you don't want to spend just 50$, you have no option. You're probably gonna have to spend over 50.

step one: find someone good with electronics.

step two: get him (as it will most likely be a him) to fix it with the allure of... err... stuff.

step three: take your fixed phone and leave him with nothing but a memory and a lesson to never trust females.

(you can leave off step three if you must, but i think it's a nice lesson for guys to learn.)

Having a friend who repairs cellphones for a job and knowing somewhat about phones, if you dropped it in the water, it will damage it and only way to repair it is to get it to a cellphone place that would repair it. U can't repair it yourself.

OR

buy a new phone.

cool.
but here's a tip for the future:
if you ever break something, go call customer service and yell at them!
i'm not sure if it can happen with cellphones, but this guy i know yelled at the MP3 player customer service guys and ended up getting a new one. the samething happened to my friend's sister with her iPod.
