I'm not sure what you mean. The superhero movie is titled "Krrish". Official site: http://www.krrishthemovie.com/

The original is called "Koi Mil Gaya" translating to I've found someone. It's sci-fi. This one is like E.T. the Extraterrestrial.

Got this off wikipedia: An Indian scientist creates a computer that can communicate with aliens from outer space, but is killed in a car accident before he can reveal his work to the public. His pregnant wife survives the wreck but her son Rohit, when born, is mentally retarded.

His mother raises him with tender care and he grows up to be a young man of limited intellect but loving heart. His character impresses a young woman named Nisha and after some initial clashes, they become close friends.

They find the alien-contact computer and summon the aliens by accident. The visiting aliens leave quickly and one alien is left behind. Rohit and Nisha find him, befriend him, name him Jadoo (meaning "Magic" in Hindi/Urdu), and hide him from the authorities (who would like to imprison and investigate him).

Jadoo senses that there is something wrong with Rohit and uses his uncanny powers to "fix" Rohit. Rohit not only becomes normal, he becomes "supernormal". He is super-intelligent and super-strong. He and Nisha fall in love.

However, the government has not given up. Police capture Jadoo, who is rescued by Rohit. Jadoo flees in his spaceship and apparently takes Rohit's new powers with him. Rohit is again mentally retarded -- which saves him from prosecution by the government.

But this is not the end. Jadoo restores Rohit's special abilities -- permanently. Nisha and Rohit can now lead a happy life, together.

Yeah, it seems so cliched. Most movies have happy endings. Although it seems that way from my examples, not every Bollywood movie is a remake of a Hollywood one.

I wish I was more exposed to bollywood movies :C The only one I've ever watched is Bride and Prejudice. As cheesy as they are, I like the musicals and tramadrama.

Krrish (the sequel) was great. =) A few cheesy and predictable parts but overall, it was awesome.

Oh, and you don't have to see the original to understand the sequel. Everything is explained.
