There was a trap that was revealed:

QUOTE
The first trap revealed was a sort of crucifix that when strapped to it, has gears that twists your head, arms, and legs around a full 360.

How grusome is that!!

THAT and the movie poster looks SICK!

Ever since the ending of Saw 2, I'm not sure it'll be as good (if you saw it, you'd know what I was talking about).

Yeah, I've been pretty much counting down the days left until its release since January or something.

It comes out on October 27th.
The teaser poster is already out, and the teaser trailer is supposed to be out on August 4th when The Descent comes out in American theaters.

I'm hoping it'll be better than Saw II, since it pretty much cannot beat Saw.

It sounds like it's been a pretty smooth process.
They finished shooting on time, and they've just finished with the editing process.
I know this because I post on a Saw board that the real Darren posts on. It's pretty damn cool, actually, that he takes the time to update the fans.

I was hoping James Wan (director/writer of Saw; producer of Saw II; writer/producer of Saw III) would come back to direct Saw III.
Instead, Darren Lynn Bousman (director/writer of Saw II; director of Saw III) is, which is okay.
I'm just glad Leigh Whannell (writer/Adam of Saw; writer/producer of Saw II; writer/producer of Saw III) is still VERY involved---I LOVE his writing.

The whole thing about the seven sequels has been a rumor for a while... Lions Gate Films has supposedly bought all of those sites, but that doesn't mean anything. We don't even know about a fourth Saw yet, so I wouldn't get too pumped for a fifth, sixth, or seventh.

I'm hoping it doesn't turn into a huge-assed franchise that gets crappier and crappier as the series goes along. I'm kind of hoping it's a trilogy, since, judging by Saw III's plot, it doesn't sound like Jigsaw's going to live a lot longer, and I REALLY do NOT want to see Amanda take over. So far she hasn't proven to be very strong in that area. I guess I shouldn't judge, though..

Anyway, I'm sorry for rambling...
I'm just obsessed.

Yeah, we all knew it. But, that doesn't mean I can't loathe it more and more.
The first Saw was bad enough and the only real torture was off-screen, inside the theater. But, a second? I couldn't imagine another horror putting the original to shame, and then the sequel proved me wrong.

Now a third?! Gag on some ridiculous and elaborate set piece straight out of some Nine Inch Nails music video. I can't remember the point of horror being instantaneous disbelief, followed by laughter. Why, lord!? Why?!

Saw is a prime example of the decapitating qualities bad editing can have on the presence of atmosphere or the onset of true suspense. Working on a low budget, our sorry filmmakers might have assumed that a cut a second could hide some of those B-movie qualities, but all it did for me was flashbacks to jean and car commercials. Instead of aiding a theme or creating an illusion, Saw's editing has effectively reminded me: I'm watching a movie. More painfully, it has induced the headache of bastardly stylized MTV-dick-directing.

For its editing alone I despise it, however it begs more and more for my disaproval. It makes the fatal mistake of confusing sadism and nonsensical torture with horror. Even snuffing out the potentional of horror in mystery by methodicly explaining each frame, but still magically making little to no sense. It posists a theme (the value of life) which fails miserably in its wake. A serial killer whose philosophy is equated into games of unspeakable unfairness. This isn't smart, or clever. It's a rehashing of every other serial killer story we've ever heard with a music video twist, ontop of bad acting, surprise without reason, and a bombastic disreguard for its characters (in any sense).

Amazingly enough, the second proved to be even more horrible than the first. Will they never stop?! sad.gif

Worst horror film in recent memory, just behind The Grudge.

Try, The Dead Next Door or Premutos: Lord of the Living Dead.
Both, I promise you, are far more entertaining, and far closer to the heart of horror. The important thing is that they don't pretend to hold a level of intelligence, there is no pretention here. They know what they are. They're B-horror, and it's hilarious.

Like, the only thing that's scary about Saw is that its makers honestly think it's scary. sad.gif
Oh, and smart. sick.gif

I might with my ex, hes not really into scary movies though.
One, hes gangster-ish and hates gore and horror movies, two, he flips out when something happens, hes like: 'OH NO! RUN! OH MY GOD! I CAN'T WATCH THIS! OH NO!' and then he always wants to leave. pinch.gif
