Okay, this question might sound stupid, but I just am wondering...Well, some people think that if you have had oral sex you are no longer a virgin, and others say that you must have intercourse to lose your virginity. I think it only counts if you go all the way, but what do you think? whistling.gif

i don't think it's a dumb question, a lot of people think about that differently. but i do agree with you. as far as doctors go, i know they believe that if you engage in any oral sex then you're no longer a virgin.

but i believe that yes, if there is intercourse, then you're no longer a virgin.

oral is just 3rd base. all the way is considered...you know when a guy actually puts that INSIDE. if you haven't done that...then you're still a virgin

When there is sexual intercourse, you are no longer a virgin.

I think it's a tricky subject though.

Like, there should be different types of virgins or something, for oral sex, etc.

But, yeah, for now, virgin = no sexual intercourse..to me.

Personally, I believe that you cannot genuinely include yourself in the ''non-virgin'' spectrum until you have actually had intercourse. By this, I mean, technically speaking. I am certain that most of you know what that means exactly, but for those of you who do not know [if you are one of these people.... then you really should not be having intercourse!] this is when the penis is inserted into the vaginal area.

Oral sex is not sex, in my opinion. Oral sex is more so a sexual experience in my eyes.

I have a question. This is completely legit, and I am curious, so please no one laugh.... If say, a lesbian were to have sex, how would they know that they are no longer a virgin in the technical sense? Manually falls under a form of oral sex, and that does not count. So, yeah.... interesting, no? o.0.

Despite the things that people may do that are considered as being sexually active, I won't really consider that as losing your virginity. But if it involves intercourse, then that's what I consider as one not being a virgin anymore.

I think you're right about that. You can only go as far as oral, you're still a virgin. You are no longer a virgin when you have sex [I'm not sure what my opinion on anal is though..] And I hope there aren't still people out there who think you can lose your virginity to a tampon, that's a bunch of crap.. lol.

I think once you've had had all the way sex you not a virgin no more.

However, I do consider some people like " Half virgins " or "No completely virgins" like when they've gottent o second or third base. That's just me though. Just to explain that they have been quite physical.

Man, LOTS of people just have oral and not go all the way. You can just fool around with someone and still be a virgin.
The first time you are vaginally penetrated is the first time you lose your virginity. In the butt is a different kind of virginity (anal virginity), and oral sex is a matter of preference. Oral sex is still SEX, but it's not intercourse, and it's not something you can lose your virginity over.

The hymen is a totally different matter. You can't "lose your virginity" to a tampon, but sure, your hymen could tear. Mine broke the first time I was fingered (I know for sure cause it hurt like a beeyotch!)

And as always, there are exceptions to these rules. You can consider yourself a virgin again, even if physically you're not. Like if you were celibate for a long time and then got a new sexual partner, or something to that effect.

I agree with that.

Once you had a penis in you. Thats when you can say you had full on sex.

i think it's ridiculous when people say that you're not a virgin after you've had oral sex.

definition of sexual intercourse: heterosexual intercourse involving penetration of the vagina by the penis.

if your hymen was broken by someone's penis then you're no longer a virgin. As for guys.. their penis has to go break a hymen.

I was referring to ''oral sex'', as that is what most people know it by. Personally, I believe that ''oral sex'' is a form of sex, yes. However, I do not believe that one's virginity is genuinely gone unless the vaginal area is in fact penetrated. There are more than one way one could consider virginity. You have the physical aspect [penetration] and you have the emotional/mental state of this. Say you were penetrated, but you did not feel in your mind and in your heart that your virginity was taken from you. I would say in the physical aspect, you are no longer a virgin. However, emotionally, you still are. Virginity can only be given away. Not in half form. There are no in-betweens. It's everything.

In the physical aspect, getting back to the lesbian thing, say if someone were to fool around manually.... would that count? Can a girl's finger even break the hymen? ermm.gif
