I was in public school until 6th grade, but then transferred to a private school. 5 long painful years. ;_; We're lucky enough to have both guys and girls together, but our uniforms are terrible. The girls have to wear a certain collared shirt, knee length uniform skirt, knee highs, and penny loafers. pinch.gif Figures though, its a religious school. We cant wear blue jeans to school functions, including baseball games. _dry.gif

Yeah, thats what I think. Private school usually just shelters you from the real world, in my opinion. Public school seems to be much more diverse - people from different races, religions, ect.

But the public high schools here in Florida are terrible. stubborn.gif

umm well i got to an international school in yokohama, soo.. i guess thats more of a private school seeing as we pay for it. but just to what you said about public schools being more diverse, thats not true here, it mite be true in florida but here its the international schools (which are prety much private schools) that are very very very diverse. the japanese public schools are not very diverse at all.

I tink i was inj private school so long that ireally like going to public school now. Its so much easier and more i dunno. Its not so up-tight.

i go to a private school... expensive and strict, but there are better people. there's only one really bad bitch in my grade... so im pretty content :]

not necessarily... you see.. paying for private school drains out all of a lot of families out of their money, esp. for ones who have more than one kid going to private school... so not all my friends at my school are rich... in fact, the majority aren't.

I went to private school for 9 years, K-8. It sucked. You were in one classroom the whole day with the same people. It was so boring seeing the same faces everyday for how many years!! I just wanted to graduate and get the heck out of there. Oh and not to mention the uniforms--they were sooooo ugly. It wasn't even the "rich" kind of private school. It was a school in a dirty neighborhood that had hookers on the corners and bums sleeping on sidewalks.

But that's all over now. Yesss!!! I'm in a pretty decent public school IMO, despite some trashy people. I love it. New faces everday, no uniforms, and they're less strict.

it's not like that in private high schools.

at least not the one i'm gonna go to.

and besides, the private k-8 school i go to now has different classrooms/teachers for different subjects (but this is only for 7-8)... but it's all the same people in each of them.

Hm, I've gone to a private school from like 3rd to 8th grade & I hated it. There weren't really that many people there & they basically all annoyed the crap out of me.
Mehhhh. I'm going to be a freshman at a private school. Hopefully it won't be as bad. _dry.gif

hmm i went to a catholic private school for k-3rd grade i guess it was okay.. they were kinda stricter tho. and 5th thru now i guess public
i wudnt really mind i kinda like both!

I go to a public school, it's pretty okay i guess. I want to go to a private school for like a day and see how it is.. one day.
