Its like ever since school got out, I havent seen any of my friends from school. I havent even called or talked to any of them on the phone. Its almost like I've crawled into a little hole or something. blink.gif

But for some reason, I dont really want to hang out with anyone, at least from school. What the heck is wrong with me? Is this normal? Is anyone else having the same issue?

Oh man. That's me. Ever since school got out I don't want to do much of anything. I don't like talking to 'em on AIM, I just spend all my time mosing around in photoshop or reading or something.

I'm the same way. But, I've kinda always been like that.

And there's nothing wrong with crawling in a personal hole. I do that too. All the time.

I dont know. There's really not that many of them. I go to a small private school, so there's only like 25 people in my grade. mellow.gif

I get pissed off really easy at alot of them, just because I dont really have alot in common with any of them. A few of them are mad at me I think because I chose to leave to go on vacation the last day of school instead of actually going to school. And then a few others I think are a little ticked off because I havent called them, so they havent called me or anything.

I've hung out with a couple of people this summer, just not people from school.

Is it possible that your personality is clashing with those from your school?

Yep, I do the same thing. I wake up at like 1 in the afternoon, and go to bed at like 3 at night. I spend most of my time just with my family and on the computer. yawn.gif

Umm, yeah. I'm shy, and currently being diagnosed with ADD (attention deficate disorder). Plus, its a Christian school. I'm like the only kid who's openly a democrat. So people give me a hard time with that. And, I dont agree with some of the school's religious opinions. There's some people that run around saying I love Jesus... and I just dont do that crap.

I'm starting to think that my friends dont like me like I think they did. The whole little group doesnt have anything to do with me. But then again, I dont have much to do with them either.

My mom tells me this all the time. When people get older they start to see things differently and that includes people.

Maybe they just don't want to put in the effort to be a friend of yours?

And democrat at a christian school? Oh man how do you manage?

Yeah thats true.

You're probably right. But I think its mutual.

Oh my god. It was really rough back during the last election. I mean people have known for years that I'm a democrat, but I was stupid enough to say that I didnt like Bush. I had people put Bush campaign stickers all over my books. And some retards even had the nerve to say "You must not be a Christian". I'm not, so that may be contributing to the problem. I just get nagged alot over the whole politics thing.

My dad always tells me not to discuss politics or religion with friends. blink.gif

Dude. Don't. Politics is like the worst thing ever.

Oh man, Just to tick people off I walked around all election day with a Bush bumper sticker plastered over my chest. I think I got the principal mad. So funny though.

I hate politics.

but anyways back to friends.

It sounds like it may be mutal. I just didn't want to say it for fear you'd go off on me. -shrug- You can't change people. At least it's not very easy too. Are these friends from school die-hard christians and bush-lovers to the core?

Lmao. I'd probably get shot if I did the same thing with a Kerry sticker.

I agree, thanks for helping me realize that. Yeah, they're pretty much simple minded, die hard Christians and basically worship Bush. (Not that all Christians and Republicans are narrow-minded, they arent).

I hang around with people at school, I just dont like hanging out with them outside of school. Lol.

Oh don't get shot then. But, I usually don't hang out with the same people from school. Sure, a few, but all of them? Yeahh noope. That's what myspace is for.

Ah, I'm the same way. For some reason, I usually hang out with different people in the summers than I do in school. I could call my school friends, I just don't usually feel like it, and those who were my summer friends and I didn't get on very well in school. However, most of my friends right now like me. We enjoy each othere's company well enough, and group things are decent, but we don't feel the need to hang out all the time.

Just out of curiosity, why would they be mad that you skipped the last day of school? It is a pain to go to a Christian school, though. My mojm and grandmother used to talk about how they wanted to send me to a Catholic school, but I'm so glad it never happened, because I'd go insane.

I understand, though. I'm over it now, but I used to get really paranoid and think that I was being neglected when people didn't call me over the summer, but I didn't call them either, because I didn't care to. Now I've just gotten to the point where I don't care. I'll talk to friends when I want to, but there's no need to overdo it. Clinginess is irritating anyway.

You're fine. :)

All I want to do when I get home from work is watch a little TV, fiddle on the computer and play with my kid. I rarely go out anymore. It used to freak people out. All the "Rebecca you're turning into a hermit" rhetoric was just annoying and assuming. I'm fine. I don't want to go out and I don't think there's anything wrong with me, and I don't think that there's anything wrong with you. :)

Well, the last day is a big deal to some people at my school. We just spend the whole day being stupid and playing games. Then, we always have a class party afterwards. I really dont know why they would be mad, but one of my closer friends did for some reason. o_o

Ahh thankfully there's nothing wrong with me. I've just been worrying alot about it lately. Haha this forum has helped me realize why I feel the way I do, and that its not that big of a deal to not hang out with people. _smile.gif

[edit] And I think alot of why I dont feel the need to hang out with people all the time is because I'm alot more mature than most of my friends, considering I'm older than almost all of them. Hahaa I just realized that. mellow.gif

Lucky. I have finals on the last day. Pshhh. I';d better be able to exempt them next year.

Hey, you have better reasoning than me, then. I'm younger than most of my friends. My birthday's in August, as is the cut off date.

I'm the same way... except everyone calls me all the time, and I hate it!!

It's like... All I wan't is 12 hours a day to be alone on the computer!!

of course 12 hours makes me sound like a lazy fagbitch. so i don't say anything and i just accept it.

but i really don't like getting calls when i'm online.

For some reason it's the same thing for me too.

All my friends said that we'll hang out and stuff now that it's summer, but, I haven't seen any of them & I keep looking at their myspaces and stuff, and there are pictures of them all doing stuff together.

I've even tried calling them and asking them if they want to do something, but, they always say they're busy, so I feel like a total loner right now.

I just don't want to go through another summer not hanging out with people you know?

I definitely understand how you feel.

sad.gif i went to a catholic shcool for freshmen year, and i'm an atheist.
and not to be sterotypical or of the such, but most kidds there are white italians who act "ghetto". i dont talk to them because i feel like they get too caught up in the hype _dry.gif
i love going to manhattan, but my friends' parents are overprotective mad.gif .
+ most of them wouldnt want to do the things i would. stubborn.gif

& in sept. im going to a public vocational school & i feel like im gonna start all over again.
and i cant help but feel lik the friends i did get close with, are going to drift from me.
it seems inevitable _unsure.gif
