[By far my favorite Tarantino, right above Jackie Brown.]
10/10

[A very out of the ordinary film for the epic director David Lean (Lawrence of Arabia, The Bridge on the River Kwai, Doctor Zhivago), small and sweet. A biting romance, with an ending that I can stand.]
Brief Encounter.

[Gattaca has got to be the most underrated Sci-fi of the 1990's. Despite my usual aversion of Sci-fi, I thoroughly enjoyed, and happily own a copy of Gattaca. What always did me in were the common cyberpunk themes. Gotta love some dystopia with a twist of noir. Plus, the premise poses many philosophical questions. Good fun. Great flick. Clever writing. Jude Law, yes. Ethan Hawke, no.]
7.5/10

[Just going hard into the favorites.]

[Instead, watch Suburbia, Clerks, and SLC Punk all in one night. Back to back. Much cooler.]
3/10

[Although I desperately need to see more Argento, as Italian horror goes, I'm sure this is, and will remain, top notch. Classic story. Fantastic death scenes. Beautiful and disturbing visual style, specificaly the horror in the contrast of stunning and vivid colors and the macabre. Great original soundtrack with the Goblins.]
Suspiria.

[Oldboy is so overrated. Despite it being very interesting and visually stunning (love that corridor fight scene), the film fails miserably in regions of plot and character development. Of the vengence trilogy, I would say Oldboy is the most lacking, despite it being the most popular. Although, I still need to finish Lady Vengence. My largest problem had been the once simple act of suspension of disbelief. Just didn't work. I couldn't believe the characters actions or understand them, and that the characters were not defined well only amplified this frustration. Despite its hightened mystery (which lacked any true atmosphere), its answers were disapointing and unninteresting. It had potential, but in the end it was just boring. Gotta love torture (both mental and physical) though, huh?]
5.5/10

[Let's try some Lynch.]
The Elephant Man.

[Although I liked Paul Giamatti for the part, I really didn't like the movie. I thought it was painfully boring, uninspired, and just lame. Big disapointment.]
3.75/10

[How about some more Fellini?]
La Dolce Vita.
