Definition

Some people get confused or don't really know the complete definition for "Anime" or "Otaku" is. So here are the definitions to help you out!

Anime: a style of animation originating in Japan. It is sometimes referred to by the portmanteau Japanimation. Anime is characterized by stark, colorful graphics and stylized, colorful images depicting vibrant characters in a variety of different settings and story-lines, aimed at a wide range of audiences. Anime may be broadcast on television, distributed on media such as DVDs or published as console and computer games. Anime is usually influenced by Japanese comics known as manga.


Otaku: a variety of geek (or an overly obsessed fanboy / fangirl) specializing in anime and manga.

i need to collect miyazaki's movies. i've always wanted to, since i'm so obsessed with him and hisaishi....sigh. right now, i only own spirited away [which of course is my favorite movie by him >_>]

Oh. NAOMI!!! If you don't read this, I'll cry. Really. It's just soo.... Cool! I mean, I went to AX and saw the Host Club! Except we sorely missed Hunny and Mori sempaitachi. I suppose they had a tournament or something... ANYWAY! I was given a rose by, um, I don't remember now. @.@ Was too head-rushed to take notice. And there were no less than FOUR Nekozawa's. But no Kirimi either... Too bad. Oh. And the other Haruhi showed up. From some other anime. And they were all beating her up.
Whew! New paragraph! I'll post all the pretty AX pictures later. And then you can all oogle at my shitty photography skills. -nods- And Katie... Everytime I see your sig... It makes me smile! ^_^U -is about as easily moved as Tamaki-sempai- Whew! That was long and it hurt to type.
