Yeah... I don't believe that homosexuality/bisexuality is actually REAL. I think it's just something made up in your mind that you believe only because something happened to you... whether it be some devastating event, the enviornment, jealousy, whatever... yep... that's my thought.

Well...I knew I was straight pretty much...when I was little...because I would fantasize about marrying a guy...and fantasize about dating and loving a guy..girls never gave me the feeling that guys gave...oh dear that doesn't answer your question does it?
My friend told me that she knew she was gay when she found that one of her close friends attractive and had the urge to be with her, to kiss her, to touch her...and the can't-live-without-you feeling that she got. Which is pretty much the same feelings I get with guys. She found out when she was around 15. If that helps you at all. |

Okay. This is from the Gay Marriage Debate thingy.
On an ethical point of view, this is clear to me: I am in full support of gay marriage. I am a homosexual myself. I am rather sure that homosexuality is of a much more biological nature than it is of any environmental nature. I don't recall waking up one day and making a conscious decision to become a homosexual. The biological attraction is what makes me homosexual. Much like any woman has an attraction to a man or vice-versa, it would seem biological, natural, and completely irresistable. It is the exact same for us. When I first felt feelings for someone else of the same gender, there was nothing that told me I should have an attraction to him, in fact I was rather drilled into my head that I shouldn't be having this attraction, but nonetheless I follow my gut instinct that I was born with. People have asked me when I "figured out" when I was a homosexual. It did not occur to me at a certain time. When you first liked a boy or a girl, I hardly believe it was a conscious decision to suddenly do so. It would seem natural and nearly a blur I suppose. It is the same for us. I lived a very good childhood. I was not abused, nor neglected. My family was wealthy, I lived in a good environment with a good score of education. I was brought up well and healthy. I am still a homosexual in spite of all of these facts. It is not a choice. The homosexual world is not a place that is easy or completely pleasurable to live through. There is always the prospect of finding others like yourself, and past those filtering those few to be the one person you wish to spend the rest of your life with. There is always the rejection of your family, your friends, your peers. There is always the glaring prospect of the AIDS epidemic. Why, I ask, would anyone in their right mind (which I certainly hope you deem me to be, I certainly do) actively and consciously choose to become a homosexual? It simply wouldn't make sense. |

I am straight.
& I don't know when I 'figured it out'. I just have always been attracted to males. As long as I can remember.. I was just always curious with the opposite sex... But me & my friend's personal belief is that everyone is gay/bi. Just people show different amounts... Like a girl can tell which girls guys think are 'hot' or whatever & vice versa. It's hard to explain It's confusing & kind of weird...but yeah.. ![]() |

Well, when I was younger than 10, I always had like interest in girls.
And when my friends talk about how cute a boy was, I'm always looking at girls, but had some interest in guys, too. But I didn't learn about sexuality until like 3rd/4th grade. And I started admitting it in 5th grade. So yeah. And there was this girl in 5th grade that I really liked because she was really sweet to me, and we were super close. And she's straight. So that didn't work out. :[ But yeah, she's part of how I realized I wasn't straight. |

When you see the same sex's genetalia along with the opposite sex's, and whichever tickles your fancy... or both. I kind of have a thing for the opposite sex, so I'm pretty sure I'm straight.

Jesus, this isn't right. So I'd try to shake it off. I haven't ever dated a girl because I actually don't tell anyone I'm bi. And I'm still in denial about it. Gawwwwd. |

So how do you explain the homosexual behavior of men and women who never had a traumatic event? Environment? There are plenty of homosexuals that had extremely homophobic parents. |

I think it's just something made up in your mind that you believe only because something happened to you... whether it be some devastating event, the enviornment, jealousy, whatever... yep... that's my thought. That is so true! My best "online" friends went through some really bad things in his life. I remember talking with him when he was 11: He loved girls, thought about sex, and had a guy's voice (we talked live over MSN). Then some really bad things went on in his life, he got depressed , his dad was in jail, and other bad stuff that i don't want to say incase he reads this somehow. Anyways, now 2 years later I start to talk to him a lot. He tells me how he desided he was gay, and has done stuff with a guy. We talking live over msn, and he totally had a gay lisp. I am almost sure he became gay because of the bad things that went on through his life. I think some guys just to conclusions about their sexuality too soon. Most guys deisde they are gay when they are going through puberty. While you are going through puberty your hormones are all crazy, and anything will turn you on. They then convince themselves that they are gay, even though they are still in puberty. Then they go through the rest of their life thinking they are gay, thanks to their crazy hormones. |

I think it's just something made up in your mind that you believe only because something happened to you... whether it be some devastating event, the enviornment, jealousy, whatever... yep... that's my thought. It is real...I have read and heard that people that are homosexual possess more of a certain hormone or lack a certain hormone to make them that way. Hence how homosexuals act a little flamboyant? I am not sure about that part, however, so I will not assume. Okay. This is from the Gay Marriage Debate thingy. On an ethical point of view, this is clear to me: I am in full support of gay marriage. I am a homosexual myself. I am rather sure that homosexuality is of a much more biological nature than it is of any environmental nature. Why, I ask, would anyone in their right mind (which I certainly hope you deem me to be, I certainly do) actively and consciously choose to become a homosexual? It simply wouldn't make sense. I agree almost completely about everything except the part about someone choosing which gender they would like. True, nobody would CONCIOUSLY choose, but I believe SOME people choose it subconciously. I don't have one side for this. I believe some were born with that lack of hormones or more of a certain hormone. And then some, were affected by a certain event. Like a male being hurt by females so much that they have come to like the other gender. That may be denial, or perhaps such a mental change that hormones were changed also. I'm not totally sure about these, and I am sure there are a lot of articles that talk about it with different views, but that's what I think. I also have a friend that thought he was bi, until he said something about girls hurting him too much. Eventually, he said he was gay, not bi anymore. And I believe him, because he has a lot more female friends and he has not been attracted to any of them since. However, before, he was truly attracted to a friend of mine that was female. I believe his case is that he was either unsure before, or he has subconciously made a decision to be homosexual. Whereas there are other people truly, BORN to be like that. What I'm not sure is, when one is unsure or changed, is it because it is a decision, or did something in their body change their hormones? |

I was probably as young as 3. When I was older, I figured it was just curiousity, but now I am fully aware I am attracted to both sexes, so..yeah.
