Definition

Some people get confused or don't really know the complete definition for "Anime" or "Otaku" is. So here are the definitions to help you out!

Anime: a style of animation originating in Japan. It is sometimes referred to by the portmanteau Japanimation. Anime is characterized by stark, colorful graphics and stylized, colorful images depicting vibrant characters in a variety of different settings and story-lines, aimed at a wide range of audiences. Anime may be broadcast on television, distributed on media such as DVDs or published as console and computer games. Anime is usually influenced by Japanese comics known as manga.


Otaku: a variety of geek (or an overly obsessed fanboy / fangirl) specializing in anime and manga.

I'm so happy to see a bit of a surge in this place. Of all the subforums, this is the only one I really want to post in. Let's try and make it fun again! I miss how we used to know each other. Call each other by name. Let's get back to that. In fact, I just really want to get to know all of you.

HAIII! I sai we plan it on a weekday. not weekend or friday though because i know thats when were all busy. =/
