things didn't seem to change successfully, lowering prices makes problems high, increasing prices makes problems low like elevators, but once you press the button, you will elevate without a try. this is just a comparison, not trying to be ironic. Curiousity still occurs in my mind why tools such as hand grappers need to be so cheap when it's a rare thing? Might as well put it in a museum!

how does lowering prices make problems high? why? if a price is low, more and more people will be interested, and it can cause many demanding problems. if a price is high as it is, maybe 1 out of 5 people will give a damn about the item they are willing to buy, this country can cause positive problems that arent even considered to be negative |

if a price is low then it should be a given that this object is cheaply manufactured and easily produced. it honestly depends on the object you are talking about, care to give us an example?

an ipod video for example. let's say there was a red hot BLOWOUT SALE and they sold it for 50 dollars. the apple store in nyc, everyone rushes in to get it before it solds out. they camp out, do all those crazy things to get the ipod for a dream price .. wouldnt that cause a problem? i dont wanna get into the cause and effect .. but I know we don't want that .. if a price is high, yes the cost of it is a problem cuz its "too" expensive, but less people have a shot which is good for the customer thats interested in buying one

I fail to see a problem. What you're describing is simply a law a of supply and demand... so why is that law a problem for the economy?
If one store goes on sale and lower the prices of their IPods, it makes sense that people would camp out to get it, but how is that a problem for our economy as a whole? |

He seriously needs to take Economics 101. The supply of law and demand is the most basic idea of economics. It basically says that when demand exceeds supply then prices go up and when supply exceeds demand then prices fall. Its all very logical.
What's the problem here? |

I don't feel stupid at all, there are things people need to learn as they grow up, and that isn't a bad thing smart one. |

It's not an "unsolved problem", per se; it's just how the economy works. Without supply and demand and the fluctuating public interest, there wouldn't be different leading brands of soda or technology because they'd all be priced the same, right? Edit// Oh, and no making fun of Jason. That's not what the debate forum is about. |

Okay, I really, really don't want to come off as mean or high-handed, but since it was mentioned what the debate forum is supposed to be about... the rules of the debate forum include that a topic needs to be "semi-intelligent so that people can actually have solid opinions on it and back up these opinions with solid facts, not just personal opinions and feelings," or else it should be closed.
Sorry, I just think that you could've made an effort to research the matter a litte more. While it's true that we do learn things in the debate forum sometimes, making a topic about it for learning? That should have been done in the school subforum... or something. |

This topic isn’t for people who already have knowledge for this subject. If no one likes this, dont reply to it. It would be greatly appreciate to give us an idea of economy is really like. Lecture us, provide some details. Hopefully, someone will express their opinions about economy (in an idiot way, of course). It’s a way we can learn better in this thread.
Seriously, I know nothing about the economy and politic yet. (i'm in H.S) allow us to gain some information from an educated man or women on earth. |

You've proven my point that this topic surely is not a debate then. Again, if you all are willing students, others and I will be happy to share basic knowledge of Microeconomics as well as Macroeconomics with you all in another subforum (hint: school). Else, it should be closed.
It's rather rule-bending to say that we should not reply if we do not like this topic since the rules of the debate forum is pretty specific against topics like these. Sorry, the misnomered titled irked me a little. P.S. Justin's in high school; Minda was in high school; Sammi's in high school. They all have a pretty firm grasp of the political and economical climate if you ask me. Seriously, the point isn't what level of education you've received, the point is research. I'm sure that had you wanted to make a topic in this forum, Spiritual Winged Aura, you would have researched it a bit, like the rest of us, before posting. Justin, I would be content if we can keep the sacred grounds of the debate forum "semi-intelligent". |

=] still trying, i see. nah I ain't tryin at all, but one thing YOU gotta stop trying is trying to overcome everything steven says .. because you'll eventually end up embarassing yourself .. so not posting might be the smart thing that can help the cB community wouldn't it? real talk .. |

He's not in the wrong for criticizing this topic. He was rather "smart" and helped the cB community in doing so.
