What kind of guitar do you have,
acoustic, electric, classic, or hyrbrid. what brand? what kind of music do you like to play? Right now, I have a Classical Guitar that's Jasmine by Takamine. I don't like classical guitars. I'm thinking of buying an acoustic guitar, with steel strings. I have a Seagull S6 original. |

I gave my acoustic to my girlfriend. She's almost as good as me... haha, just playing of course.
![]() I have an electric. It's a Yamaha. It will remain my beauty until I get a job and can afford a better one. I play all kinds of rock. I mosty make my own music. I play metal, emo, emo screamo, alternative, classic, hard rock, just to name a few. |

I have two accoustic guitars. One was my dad's. I don't know what brand it is, he'd had it since long before I was born. Andd.. I have no idea about the other one, I've only had it a year or so and haven't really played it. Sorry, I don't know much about guitars except how to play the one I have, I'm not much help. :P

My dad collects guitars.
2 acoustic guitars (they're just shoved in the attic though) 1 semi-acoustic Teisco Del Rey 1960's guitar 4 Electric guitars (1 guyaton, 1 Teisco Del Rey, 1 yamaha, 1 Ibanez) 1 Bass guitar My dad likes to collect all these vintage guitars from Japan for some reason. I dunno, maybe it's more unique to collect the lesser known brands rather than something like Fender guitars? I've started learning bass guitar though. Started meaning I tried learning by myself starting last week, but I should be getting lessons when the new school year starts. I'd like to learn all types of music though, especially music where the bass line really stands out. |

I have an Ibanez Gio that I never got to play cuz when I finally got strings for it, the metal part where you fish the strings through came out >:o
But I really would like an Ovation acoustic |

I have an acoustic/electric. Applause by Ovation, I think. My friends pitched in and got it for my 17th birthday. I'm really a beginner at it, but I still like playing anyway :)

I had a Squier.. was going to upgrade to a Strat, but blarrgh. As for my acoustic, I have no idea what it is. I got it from my dad's friend. It doesn't have a name on it at all, but it's a pretty good guitar.

I have one acoustic guitar and it's a Hawaiian guitar. It doesn't have the name on it anymore. It was my great-grandpa's guitar. His friend made it for him. It's wonderful.

Hate to dredge up an old topic, but guitars are cool and I didn't feel like making a new one.
The only guitar I currently own is a fiesta red Fender Jag-Stang. It's a 6-string electric (obviously). It was made by Fender Japan sometime between 2002-2004, so you know it's good. I picked it up used for next to nothing -- about $380, less than the price of a new Fender Strat, and this thing is so much nicer than a Fender Strat. It sounds great and it hardly has a scratch on it. When I got it, the plastic film covering was still on the pickguard! I love my Jag-Stang for a couple of reasons. Number one, of course, is the sound. It has a pretty versatile tonal spectrum, but I got it because it has a really twangy sound if you set the pickup modes correctly (each pickup has an independent On/Off/On switch, with the two "On's" having opposing polarities). I really like the twangy Southern rock-meets-surf guitar-crossed-with-Beatles kind of sound. Plus with distortion it sounds like Cobain's guitar on "Drain You", which I love. It also has a smaller, thinner neck, like the old Jaguars, which is great because I have small hands. And it has vintage-style tuners and the large 60s-style headstock, which is way cool. It's a real throwback to he 60s. It has a nice Dynamic Vibrato bridge, too, although it didn't come with a tremolo arm, and I'm thinking of blocking the vibrato anyway. It looks cool, too. It has an asymmetric, almost feminine shape to it, which I really like. It's a very unique body design, which makes it stand out. Like I said, it sounds cool, but I don't really like the bridge humbucker, and I'm thinking of replacing it if I keep playing it a lot. I actually almost sold it recently, but the buyers fell through, and I'm glad they did, because I've started playing it again and I really like it. Unfortunately, I no longer have an amp, because I sold that a while ago when I graduated from college. I also sold my bass and my first guitar (which was just a crappy Lyon anyway), so the Jag-Stang is the one remaining piece. Looks like I might have to work on building up the collection again. ![]() |
