Area behind comment links. Options

I was wondering how to get the area behind the comment links transparent and have the blog background a different color like the layout here. I tried looking at the layout code, but couldn't find which part it was.

Well, she just set the BG colour of the span tags, but you could do it with divs or tables too... Otherwise they'd all be one colour!
What specifically do you want so I can write it out? The code, that is.

I know how to make the blogheader transparent, so I'd just like to know how to make the actual blog have a background color while having the area behind the comment links transparent like hers.

I was asking more like different colours, like hers, or just one colour? This is for one colour.

^Into custom header it goes. This is for various colours. Make sure to change the class for each colour though! Copy the CSS line to create more.
