I wanted to know how to make patterns like these; any help is appreciated.

never seen a pattern like that before.
maybe try google?
On whatever site you got them at
maybe see what they call them
and if it's line patterns
type in on google making line patterns in photoshop or psp

Well, they can also be called light textures. All you gotta do is draw a whole bunch of different blobs of color on your canvas, and then go to filter >> blur >> radial blur and make it to where it goes at an angle, and then voila.

But, if you don't want to do that then try:

No, but I will try it and use the technqiue Kristinaa gave; this topic can be closed.
