Beach image is from sxc... and was majorly edited. I made the paper pattern.

This was my first time using layers. Nothing special, but I think its decent for my first try.

Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Critizism really really helps me improve. happy.gif

[edit] I think I should slice it and save it in the png format... because its a little blurry.

*hits head on desk over and over*

alllll your layouts always show part of the old myspace.
Are you ever going to fix that?

thats about the only constructive critism i have for you. Which it seems to be the only i have every time. And aparently you never take it.

Anyway
other than that the image is okay but its kind of to light
i think the pink for the about me you put it up to high
but thats just my opinion on it.

anyways other than that its nice.

i think theres to much info on the left. you should keep it long enough that it doesnt have a scroll bar because it looks kind of tacky. I mean you have that whole about me cleared why not put some of that there. Your interest are apart of yourself.

other than all of that
its just like your old one
just different graphics.

first the colors are a good match. however they can be VERY and i mean VERY bright for another persons screen. i have a lap top so i can swivel the screen and darken the colors so that i can see the layout. fix the color so that its not gonna blind someone elses eyes.

exactly that. I'm on a laptop. colors are way to bright.

First time working with a DIV huh? Good job. but just so you know, DIVS are for kids biggrin.gif
but anyways, let me critique you!

I like the things that go on your navigation side. just give it a little more padding on the left so that its not completely on the edge of the yellow bg.

notice how you have a line that is about a few pixels to the left of the yellow navigation side -> well it would look better if you shift the entire thing so that it touches the line. at least it some what creates a border for the yellow left side. or else, just entirely remove that line because it looks off. but i notice how you're aiming for that paper/notebook theme.

tha layout it nice for a first timer. it just needs a little touch up. work on it wink.gif

^haha actually it doesn't

just you should have repeated the bg stripes i think instead of just having this stripes and then this long blue color.
other than that i think its the best ive ever seen. Except its hiding the myspace ad. [its against myspace rules and createblogs]

Well, as far as I know, you're the only person who is having problems with me having part of the default layout showing. I've been on 4 different computers with my layouts and everythings always covered up fine.

I've TRIED to fix it. I'm not a expert like you are.
If you're so worried about it, why not try helping me? Instead of always telling me that.

well search around in other topics to fix it..

I already gave someone a code in like two topics ago

CODE
<style type="text/css">
    table, tr, td {background:transparent;}
    table table table table, table table table table td.text, table.contactTable {display:none;}
    td.text table, .orangetext15 {visibility:hidden;}
    td.text table table {display:inline; visibility:visible;}
    td.text td.text table {display:none;}
    div b font font, div font font u {display:none;}
.whitetext12 { display: none; }
.nametext { display:none;}
</style>

and try making a actual layout code instead of just placing the div over it all.
that would help as well.

Maybe aligning the div layout in the middle instead of alll the way over to the left.

now its good although you should cont. the notebook pattern to the normal patter instead of just having a white bg.

Thanks for your opinion, I appreciate it.

Actually... this topic can be closed, because I'm really not happy with the layout. I made it last night and started this topic at like 3 in the morning, so I was kinda out of it. Lol.
