I don`t think homosexuality is wrong. Its their lives let them do whatever they wish with it. If you dont like it, then don`t look or get near them. pinch.gif

QUOTE(Uronacid @ Jun 2 2006, 2:11 AM) *
ITS AWKWARD FOR US TO BE AROUND GUYS WHO LIKE GUYS OR GIRLS WHO DIG GIRLS. It's awkward becuase you ARE different from us. ITS A FACT. we like the oposite sex and you like same sex. I don't hate you or discriminate you(you aren't a race). As people you deserve equal rights, but i still believe homosexuality is wrong.

dont flip sh*t, your not going to convince me otherwise... I still care about them as people and I care about their feelings but I believe that the act of homosexuality is utterly wrong

Our sexual preference does not define us. We have differences, but all people do. That's like saying that favorite food, favorite color, or favorite song will define a person.

and yes, dipsh*t, it is discrimination even if we aren't a race.

just because someone likes members of the same sex that DOES NOT mean that they like EVERY MEMBER of the same sex.

should homosexual girls be afraid of you thinking that you'll have sexual feelings for every single one of them?

Don't flatter yourself. Gay guys aren't likely to have sexual feelings for you.

You obviously use religion against homosexuality. Now, since you're apparently the expert in matters of the bible, I'd like you to clarify a few things for me...

Lev. 25:44 clearly states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?

I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?

Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev.19:27. How should they die?

I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?

My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev. 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them (Lev.24:10-16)? Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)

Since you are such an expert in these matters, I felt I could turn to you for help.

Well, i am pretty well versed in this topic accually... many of the old testament rules and laws were lets say canceled out, becuase jesus died on the cross, and made amends for those things. Many of the rules in the old testament only applied to those times at which they were givin.

The jews were gods children, and therefore at the time they were more important. They could not enslave eachother, but they could enslave other cultures. When jesus died on the cross, all men were allow to enter heaven becuase he had died for their sin.

The sabbath rule was set appart, becuase god wanted his people to obey his rules. This DEATH sentance does not apply today.

The hair was a symbol of gods children.. People who cut there hiar in the fassion described above were associated with another pagan religion durring that time period. Today this does not apply. Religious gruops today do not separate themselves by cutting their hair a certain way.

The pig skin thing, was ruled out in the new testament when god told peter 'R'ise, Peter; kill, and eat.' (Acts 10:13) in a dream where a white cloth was laid before him containing the meat of the suposed unclean animals that many jewish poeple still do not touch today.

and as for your uncle... just another rule god set aside for the israelites... XD

READ THE NEW TESTAMENT, if you want i can give you some verses from the new testament about homosexuality

It's acceptable in my world =]

My belief is that sexual orientation cannot be controlled. Just because one is not straight should not mean they are different and should be viewed differently by others.

In the past, the different chooses of sexual orientation was always there. But then people back then were more strict upon these things. Just because it's more opened does not mean that it should be thought of as a "weird" choice of gender preference and whatnot.

I guess society has simply been brainwashing people to believe that being straight is the "normal" thing to do, even if it goes against their desires.

Just in case I might not sound like it, but I am straight.

I think it's wrong, but I do believe some people could be born that way, if that makes sense.
I also believe that we're going to be forced to accept it.

I don't like the homophoebics (can't spell)

Just let them love who they want. If you're Catholic and you say its a sin, let them sin. They'll go to hell or heaven, let God decide. I'm Catholic as well but I don't believe that homosexuality is wrong. I disagree on that with the Christian beliefs.

Let them love who they want. If God loves us, he'll accept the way we like, and wont judge on where we go when we die because of the kind of person we love.

I don't believe in labels (for myself) . If others want to label themselves , That's is fine . I don't . I believe there's more to a person and more to life than that .

Imo , Things are not so black and white .

Almost no mental health professionals label it a mental disorder anymore.

Not like I care, I just find it funny.

I could care less if someone is gay or not, I don't agree with what they choose to do. But I still love them non-the-less.

I'd be hesitant to suggest they have a metal defiency akin to mental retardation.

i feel the same way about this as i do gay marriage. they're still people, and there's no reason to discriminate against them. i really don't see anything wrong with it.

i don't think people could be born gay. i think it's just a choice that they make.

I think homosexuality is wrong but I don't see it as some sin that is to be held above all others as many others do. As a Catholic I believe that homoexuals are called to chastity and service by the Lord.

CRAP. ><
I voted wrong.
I thought the question asked if homosexuality acceptable, and I voted yes, but the question asked "Is homosexuality wrong?" :[
Well, I don't think homosexuality's wrong. Not at all. My opinion.

I applaud you for not listening to them and saying that. It takes guts.
I have no problem with gay people. My bst friend is bi and likes girls more than guys (and I knew her sicne I was seven too, lol). And I have also more friends who aren't straight. I don't even know if I'm straight. But the things is, as much as it makes you mad- you need to remember some people just don't get it. And you need to make sure your friend understands this, because he gets/will get many more comments than you. I hope everything works out.

I know I'm a little late responding, but I'm responding anyways.

my point was exactly what you pointed out. the bible is outdated.
things change.

people become more enlightened.

I'm not christian. I dont believe in your bible anyways.
It's a work of fiction. it should be treated as such.

but if you're going to throw religious writings in my face, I'll throw writings from my religion in yours.

"Be true in love, this you must do unless your love be false to you."
"An ye harm none, do what ye will"

now I ask you, what's so wrong with love?

what do I hurt by loving my girlfriend?

and if, to be true in my love, I feel the need to express it in a physical way, who am I hurting?
I'm showing love, something this world so desperately needs

Of course it's acceptable. My good friend accidentally "came out" to her English class a few months ago, but everyone took it very well and she was fine. She knows that I don't like her in that way and she's a very sweet girl. Besides, my philosophy is GGMFF (Gay Guys Make Fun Friends).

I'm a Christian, but I believe that the Bible has been tampered with and misinterpreted over the centuries.
