In my opinion, those European teams (Spain, England, and France) aren't gonna make it far. If you realize, they have fame 'cuz of players AROUND the world, let's take FC Barcelona for example. The average person might say that Spain will go far in the WC 'cuz they have good players, BUT most of the good players come from other parts of the world, like Brasil...Portugal...Mexico..etc. So they loose their stars. Those teams that send their star players to play in European leagues (Brasil, USA, Mexico) have the best chance of taking the cup...get my point?

No shit - didn't score even one goal against Trinidad, even though Trinidad played with 10 people!!

(I don't like the Sweden team..)

Day Two

England 1 : 0 Paraguay
Sweden 0 : 0 Trinidad & Tobago
Argentina 2 : 1 Ivory Coast

Picks are in bold

It was a VERY suprising day for me today. First, I thought England had more to offer. The only goal they got was a favor from the Paraguay side. Second, Trinidad & Tobago shows potential. How about that goal keeper? Very impressive for a last minute add-on. Sweden tied with a taste of a loss. Congrats to the T&T side! And last but not least, even though they lost 2-1 against Argentina, I never thought they had such an offense. They produced as many shots on goal as Argentina. Very good team. Congrats to another Latin team!

Tomorrow is the day I've been waiting for. Mexico faces Iran. A game where Mexico is favorite. Viva Mexico!

England was playing extremely "passive" in a way. They had subbed a lot of fowards for mid fielders. It would seem they are willing to win sloppily.

Hm, thinking about switching my vote from Italy to Brazil. They couldn't even beat Korea last time.
