Purpose: I kinda wanted this as a stand-alone piece for the extras section on RLL, but I need feedback. I really suck majorly at writing. >.<" Anyway, yeah. I shall love you forever if you tell me what I've spelled wrong... Because I REALLY suck at spelling. =X

It's been four, no five, years now and he still hasn't caught on. Through the millions of hints, half-smiles, and study sessions he hasn't caught on. I'm mad at him and myself both at the moment. Screw that idiotic thought, I'm mad at the entire world. I'm screaming, throwing a fit, trying to get it out of my mind. I'm torn between wanting to kiss him brutally and slapping him. He just doesn't get it. Can anyone be that dense? That was rhetorical.<br>
Then that acrused device known as a phone rang. I yelled at it in my mood and snatched it up. The person on the other end was greeted with a viscious growl of anger. Luckily, it was Lily. She knew better than to hang up on me in a mood. I could hear a worried Lan chattering away in the background and Ran in the shower. Ran in the shower... Mmmmm... GAH! Nonononono...<br><br>

"SNAP OUTTA IT LARK! Shiot, you know Ran's not that smart. You have to do things with him that other people wouldn't need. His feelings are muddled because he's just a little off, okay.... Maybe more like a lot off, but still! You can't expect him to pick up what others might. So just tell him. Say "I like you. Do you like me back?" and then just let it play out. His feeling are there, it's in his eyes, you just have to smooth them out. Okay? Ganbatte Lark!"<br><br>

She hung up after that. Did I mention that I hate Lily too? Shiot... Well. I guess I might as well take her advice because nothing else has worked so far. So I grab my notepad and scribble the note out. Then, I draw a tiny arrow in the corner he'll be sure to see and wrote a message on the back. The exact one that Lily had told me to use. As I sigh, I take out a silver Hersey's kiss from the green glass jar on my desk. I know he eats them everyday, just before he goes to sleep, because Lily has told me that he's been making a huge ball out of the wrappers. Ran is a collector, no matter how much he denies that he still had every letter and note sent to him.<br>
Then, I give it to Lily who puts it on the table next morning. Just like always... And I see Ran shove it in his pocket, I see his slight blush... And I see him look at me. That one look and my heart nearly breaks in two. That confused, lost, broken puppy look was all it took. I want to jump on the table and tell the world who my true love is! I sound like a character out of one of Saylee's crazy boy-love manga. Even worse, I sound like Saylee. Oh god, Saylee with her "all the cute boy muses are effectively caught up in <i>each other</i>, Lark, so what was I to do when the girls are <i>so</i> much prettier" attitude. Crazy friends I have. Very strange, crazy friends.<br>
Shoot. Breakfast is over. Time files when you're internally monolouging about nothing. Time for the daily "I-know-you-know-who-wrote-it-so-admit-it" talk from Ran. I wonder if he knows I'm leaving tonight. You never know with him. I swear that Ran is harder to figure than a girl. Hey, here he comes.<br><br>

"Lark..." Ran trailed off, "I...."<br>
"I don't have all day Ran..."<br>
Ran wrinkled his nose, "I... I'm going to catch you one of these days and then you'll be sorry you ever wrote me all one thousand eight hundred and sixteen notes!"<br>
I smile, "Who says it's me?"<br>
Ran wrinkled his nose even more, "I study handwriting analysis stupid! You just wait and see, I'll catch you someday!"<br><br>

And then he stormed off, as usual. So short-tempered, my Ran. I did not just call him mine. Err... Time to go pack! I'm surprised that he can calculate a number like that though. Perhaps he just counted them all day by day. That would be like my Ran. GAAAAAAH~!! He is <b>not</b> <i>my</i> Ran! Stupid, stupid, stupid Lark! Again, time to pack! So I walk to my room and shove stuff in my bag. After I finish, I go and tell Ran where I'm going... All prepared for another blow-out.<br><br>

Ran peeks out from the door, "Heyla Lark."<br>
I smile, "Heyla. I'm ging on another one. This one shouldn't last more than a few weeks."<br>
Ran's eyes almost sadden, "Oh, is that so?"<br>
I hugged him loosely, "It is so. I love you to infinity."<br>
Ran pulls me closer, "Well then, I must love you to infinity and back Lark."<br><br>

As soon as I hear that, a slow smile creeps onto my face. Lily and Lan's faces too. And for the longest moment, we are an island of two. I have decided that I will jump onto the table when I come back. Or maybe not. For right now, all I want is to hold him forever. Well, that and finish my mission as quickly as posible. I think the latter takes precedence.
