well, i think it is always best to be who you really are. but if you think about it, if you want to be someone, and you try really really hard and you start to act that person, then you actually turn intot hat person.so i guess you actually are that person after a while

I'm always my own self around people, and people don't generally like that, but that's okay. I'm mostly a quiet person, and I don't like attention, meaning I almost never flirt with guys and what not. My best friend does though, and therefore guys love her, and then I'm jealous. So maybe I should change? I don't know.

If you're being yourself, it is "great." No I'm not trying to say the whole "you're unique" thing...it's just that when you're being yourself, slowly, you'll discover the great things you have in you. Just show what you are confidently...even be shy with confidence. It's possible.

It depends really on how you feel everyone's true self is. I, for one, believe that inside everyone, their true self is a wonderful person. I really do. So in this case, it would be best to be yourself. However, if someone in truly "evil" at heart or bad or whatnot, it woudl be good to make corrections in the way one does things, while still maintaining personailty.

I'd much rather be who I am than someone else, regardless of what others think...unless I'm like some serial killer or child molester. Only then would I change myself.

many people say it's better to be who you are, but to be honest, people who show their "true self" end up either getting 1.) bullied 2.) criticized 3.) hated or 4.) discouraged

I think it's better to be who you are than to be someone you're not because you'd be less likely to lie about things.

No one's perfect. Everyone could use some improvement in some areas. So it's not completely bad to try to be greater than yourself in your deficient areas.

Of course, it always works best to be yourself, and to be happy with who you are. Improvement comes when you are happy with who you are, but can recognize areas in which you can improve.

What do you gain by being a poser? Why lie about who you are? Maybe a bit of self-acceptance would help the real you gain some confidence.

That's really negative. So you think all other people are not being themselves?

Besides, if you're being yourself, that means you love yourself, or you're happy to be yourself. In that case, being criticized, or discouraged isn't a factor. As for being bullied...I'm not sure what you mean. And no matter how great of a person you are, there's always someone out there that doesn't like you, and that's just the way it is.

definitely be yourself.
you can always improve if you don't like yourself.

anyone can be fake and try to be someone else.
it takes real courage to be the real you, despite your flaws and such.
what's more, you can't keep bad habits (criticizing others, trash-talking) ... so yeah CHANGE.

but yes, BE YOURSELF.
