so here's the deal:
i bring my $120 graphing calculator to scienceblock 5 and mathblock7. the other day i had science labs block6. so obviously i brought it to block 6 so i could have it for block 7. I've been doing this THE WHOLE YEAR. so last wednesday, block 6 was a lunch block (lunch in between the class) and we got back from lunch and we did the lab. so me and my lab partner finished and we were going to do these math problems. i realized my calculator wasn't there. the bell rang. i checked my locker just in case. i know my lab partner did not do it. i interigated like most of my class and i know that they wouldn't. i've talked to about eight people who said they have also had their iPod, calculators, cellphones, etc. stolen. the school does not care. so my question is, how do i steal another one? i, for one, cannot tell my parents about this. they'll flip out. and i don't know about you, but i'm not ready to pull $120 out of my own ass to buy another one. so tell me, how am i to steal another one without 1.) getting caught and 2.) not feel guilty for accidently stealing my friend's calculator or 3.) having me seem guilty? plz explain! |

Well i would suggest telling your parents!.. And explaining that it wasn't your foult and couldn't have be prevented. cuz stealing is wrong so 1.) you don't want to commit a crime and 2.) you want the person to be cought that did it!

^ yes, those are some pretty good reasons not to steal
but... 1.) my mom nearly had a heart attack when i told her i needed a 120 dollar calculator for school in the beginning of the year 2.) the first thing my brother said was "i bet you're going to lose it" 3.) my math teacher doesn't really explain anything. i mean, she'll teach us something, tell us how to do it in our calculator, and that's basically it. it's like Calculator ed and 4.) i need one for finals, which is on the 15th. Look, I don't need advice not to steal it. I know stealing is wrong, but is someone going to fess up with the stolen stuff? Probably not. The school doesn't doing anything about this kind of stuff. My friend whose iPod was stolen went to her house office (they split the school into 3 houses and you get housemasters) and all they did was give her their sympathy. Stuff gets stolen so much that they don't even care anymore. |

I wouldn't steal it if I were you. If you're caught, you could face criminal charges - if you steal it from school/someone from school, I would think your parents would be a lot harder on you.
You were frantic about your calculator - the person you stole it from won't just forget about it either. Telling your parents seems like the best choice (even though they'll freak out), unless you can just share with your friends. |

mm, you probably shouldnt try to steal one back. if you get caught, and the kids parents decide to press charges, you coud even go to juvie. yes, even for a stupid calculator. id suggest you tell your parents. have them ask the principle to get officers at your school during the school day. tahts what we have in our blue valley district. theres officers around who are part of the staff at our school for stupid behaviors, theft, yada yada.

Well, seeing as I'm a ninja, stealing is easy and I never get caught (Except for that one time...But that's not the story here) but for ninja-noobs like you, your best bet is to stay away from crime.
Borrow from friends who aren't in the same class as you. |

borrow one from a friend for the final.
get one off of ebay (they're so much cheaper) for the next school year. get a friend to order it for you and just tell your parents you need 20 bucks for a ... retiring teacher's goodbye present. |

Maybe you can borrow one from a friend after they've taken the final, like if you know anybody with a class before you.

everyone takes the same finals at the same times.
like, on the 15th everyone takes spanish finals at 9:30 and everyone takes math finals at 11:45. it doesn't matter what grade you're in. |

It's not right to steal another one, just because yours got stolen or lost.
Word to the wise: Keep valuable possessions locked up, or with you at all times. |

maybe you can buy it, and refund it the next day lol@that. i know how you feel. my cell got stolen at school. so my parents bought me a newer [more expensive] cell. and then it got stolen at work. i considered not telling them, but it was like DUH they had to call me on it. i say, just tell your parents. they'll get over it. |

Why not offer a reward for the return of yours? You might get lucky and get it back for half the cost of a replacement. It's a far better option than stealing another one and less costly than buying a new one.

you've got a perfect cover. if you're caught, you say you though it was yours.
1- go around pulling open lockers after school. some are rigged. 2- check the rigged ones. if there's a calculator in there that's the same as yours, examine it. 3- see if it's marked in any way. if it's not, take it. clear the memory completely (you need to know how to do this). take out the batteries and throw them away. you can always buy new ones, and the batteries might be incriminating. be SURE it's not marked. open the battery case, and take out the batteries and check. make sure there's nothing on the battery case cover (inside). turn it on, make sure it's not a hacked calculator. 4- put your name into calculator. Don't just blantantly say "this is ___'s calculator". put in something so that when you hit enter, it will say ____ is stupid. if caught, show them that, and say you think your friend did it, and that's why you think it's your calculator. the only problem with this is if someone returns your calculator. make sure it's really gone first. these instructions are provided as SPECUALTION and are NOT to be used. any use of these instructions is ILLEGAL and should NOT be attempted. do not, under any circumstances, follow these SPECULATIVE instructions. |
