I'm not really trying to stir up any anger or anything, I am just wondering why some men are really flamboyant. Why do they act like girls? If they are gay doesn't that mean that they are attracted to men? And if they are attracted to men, why do they act like the opposite sex?

Please help me out, I'm really lost on this one.

well, sometimes individual people act differntly from others. funny that.

i suggest you ask one of them, as any amount of speculation here is unlikely to produce anything conclusive.

Why do stright women behave like men? Why do gay women behave like men. Why are there women who look like men? Our charactersitics arent just defined by sex and sexual orientation. A boy raised by his mother only may not be as so called 'manly' as one raised by his father, as well as by both parents. And on the contrary they may turn out just fine. Why do some people get bad acne? Its not like these people wake up and say I want to be a girly man. Its just how they are. Why are some girls shy and some flirty? If you stop looking at it as a guy acting like a girl versus just a guy who acts a certain way, its no different than any other behavior.

^ well that's only true to a certain extent. one can modify ones behaviour, whereas something like getting bad acne is not conciously fixable (i mean, you can take medicine, obviously, but that is beside the point)

It's undoubtedly attributable to several reasons:
  1. Their mothers didn't hold them enough as infants, or they held them too much.
  2. Not enough iron in their diets.
  3. Lead poisoning from eating paint chips off of radiators.
  4. Violence in the media
  5. Distant or non-existent parental figures.
  6. Damaged Y chromosomes
  7. Hole in the ozone layer

That would be redundant as everyone knows that Bush is already responsible for all seven of the points outlined.

I also forgot our reliance on Middle Eastern oil. And the cocaine barons of the 1980s.

haha well thats true to a point. But I cant imagine someone being able to modify me into a shy person. Yeah thats pretty impossible. ANd usually (not always) flamboyance is just a personality type. I know guys who love women but behave like your typical gay stereotype. Its weird. And then theres the "straightest" guys who i find out are gay. I was simply trying to dismiss the acting like women thing. Cuz behaviour isnt restricted to sex...at least not in my opinion. It would be like saying all asian people are smart and all mexicans cant speak english. hehe

Judge only when judgment need be spoken.

OK...I judge this thread to be born of an absurd lunacy that smells of rotting flesh that is being infested with bacteria from alien dog pooh.gif.

We're getting a little off topic with the Bush thing.

But I just don't understand if a guy likes another guy then why does one of them act like a woman? It would seem to me that he is still attached to the opposite sex. Does it not? And Mipadi, I really hope that you aren't serious about those seven points. Those just sound ridiculous.

I was just thinking about this when I was watching Next today .. and one guy was so feminine, he wasn't even feminine. It was just disgusting and weird. And it baffled me for the whole day. So I've been thinking.

I think it's just something gays have at birth. Maybe they're born with too many female hormones or have a mentality that is somewhat feminine that accompanies their homosexuality. That's just how they roll. Just like how your personality is or my personality is. They could be asking, "Why do straight guys act like that?" 'Cause they're born like that. That's just how they are.

It's probably just a different ratio of estrogen to testosterone than a majority of males.

In all seriousness, why do some "emo guys" wear tight girls' jeans, wear their hair long, and emphasize their effeminate qualities? In both cases, it could be that that is what they like. Or it could be because it is expected of the culture. Or perhaps it's how those people identify with, and link themselves to, their respective subculture.

Jesus had long hair. I had long hair. It's not like the tight jeans started with the emo genre.

I understand what you guys are saying. It's helping alot. Sort of. I really don't think that I am making myself clear, and it's my fauilt. Sorry. It's like we're going into all these different tangents now. Maybe not. But I've never met a straight guy that was totally feminine like that. You know?
